Replaced Convergence but pictures still display with double images

Tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board must be replacing parts to solved the tv picture convergence problems.U have all the tools like a soldering iron,desoldering pump or a roll desoldering braid and a roll of solders?Can u also do basic soldering works?Yes,to all these answers.Tries websites like Tvrepairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to do the repair ur self.Or the shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

No,need to diagnose.It a 100% convergence problems.Convergence problems very easy diagnose.The picture look like 3D,colors lines don't lines up.Fuzzy,out of focus.Convergence controls don't work to lines up any colors cross.The tech is cheating u if he said cost $125 to diagnose.If u know how to solders u could fix this convergence problems about $100.U can buy a convergence kit at Websites Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com.The shop everythings fix parts and labors only $300.

The problem you are refering to is more than likely a convergence problem. The convergence circuit in your tv is controlled by an IC (integrated circuit) stk392-110 and it makes the 3 colors (red, blue, green) line up/converge together to create a clear picture. You'll know when this part needs to be replaced because the picture you see is 3d looking and possibly bowed on the top or bottom or on the sides in any or all 3 colors.

I have to presume you have got the model number wrong--WS-73903 does not show as a good model number.

Correct model number will be on the back of the set along with month, year the set was made.

If you have a convergence problem with the valid model number I can tell you what parts need to be replaced and in many cases I have Start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair.

If you are not able to do the repair most shops are going to charge 300 or more for this kind of repair--all the parts usually needed can be purchased on Ebay for under 30 dollars.

The Convergence circuit has failed. It is recommended that a professional do the job.
The Convergence IC's need to be replaced.
It will be a STK393-110 or a pair of STK392-570's.

Double images and colors are blurry and fuzzy images .Blue,red and yellow wave coming up from the bottom of the screen on the lower left and cannot be adjusted this is the symptom for busted convergence IC,you must replaced this IC in order that will works better again.STK 392-xxx ICs and it's associated resistor,this resistor automatically change value,can caused truoble even though you change the ICs.If you bring this to a service center they cost you $600 to $700,but if you buy the repair kit you can save more,don't wory it is very easy because there is intallation guide including in the repair kit. Your tv requires replacement of STK393-110 as it creates convergence problem and its available Parts Store here. If you want to do the job at your own, you need to know good soldering skills or get service of nearest TV repair shop.

Convergence ICs are bad need to be replaced. You will need to replace both of them also check the resistors right next to the IC often 1 or 2 of them burn out when the IC goes.

Solder connects = temporary fix.......Replace IC's..best
