How do I view movies in 3D on the Mitsubishi WD-Y65?

I have a new Panasonic 3D Blu-Ray DVD player, & it's settings work correctly. Any setting other than option to view movies through a 2D tv give me a split/dual image, or a blurred image when using the "checkerboard" 3D setting. I was told the WD-Y65 is "3D ready". How do I change the settings on the tv ty view 3D movies IN 3D???

WD-Y65 is NOT a 3D ready TV. You either have to change the TV to see the movie in 3D, or just watch it in 2D in you current TV.

I have the same TV as yours. Current I connect a desktop PC to the TV via DVI port, and I watch Avatar using colorcode 3D(Amber/Blue) with Stereoscopic Player from www.3dtv.at It might be a way for you to enjoy 3D without change the whole thing, but it's an entire different topic.

CAN THE panasonic dmp bd35 PLAY 3D BLU-RAY DISKS

I understand the DMP BD35 is a normal blue ray disk player and not a 3D. Please see this manual if you want to be doubly sure.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD35-MUL.PDF

However something like a DMP BDT360 will play 3D blue ray discs and you can view it on a 3D ready TV.

The coming updated 3D blu ray to ps3 in October

The format was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data.
This year is a busy year for smartphone market. As one of the most competitive one, blu ray movie becomes first choice for movie fans who would like to enjoy Blu-ray/DVD discs on a bigger screen. Directly watching movies on blu-ray disk is remarkable, although difficult it is. Now it is a good choice for us to choose an advanced software to help us to decode Blu-ray to some portable devices in an easiest and fastest way.

A new firmware update is just around the corner in October that will support 3D Blu-ray movies. Of course ,if you want to play 3D blu-ray movie on iPhone 4 or other gadgets, you need the blu ray ripper. The update will also include the Music Unlimited service. Sony continues its forward march into the burgeoning world of the 3D home market, announcing at the 2010 IFA press event in Germany, and recounted by Engadget, that the playstation will soon receive a firmware update that will allow it to play 3D blu-ray movies. The firmware will also include the recently announced"Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity" service.

The PS3 currently supports3D games, but Sony has not yet to fully push for 3D blu-ray movies until now. Spokespeople for Sony also claimed that 20 3D blu-ray titles would be available within the next 12 months, including Avatar, The green hornet, and the upcoming Spider-Man. The last two titles have not been released, but both are being released in 3D by Sony.

It's reported that Disney and Sony have joined forces to co-market blu ray 3D hardware and software beginning this fall. For an undisclosed limited time, select bundles of Sony Bravia 3D televisions will come with the exclusive release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Bolt on Blu-ray 3D.

Twentieth Century Fox recently extended their agreement with Panasonic to market Blu-ray 3D software and hardware by bundling James Cameron's Avatar on Blu-ray 3D exclusively with Panasonic 3D Viera HDTVs beginning this December. The move was designed to counter Samsung's alignment with Dreamworks to bring together all four Shrek films to Blu-ray 3D exclusively with Samsung's 3D HDTVs. Warner has partnered with LG to offer three IMAX nature films on Blu-ray 3D with their 3D sets.

The odd man out in the current Blu-ray 3D market overwhelmed with exclusive manufacturer and publisher deals are consumers. To date there are only two titles available at individual resale on Blu-ray 3D: Sony 's Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and starting next week, Monster House. The only other confirmed titles are Disney's A Christmas Carol in mid-November and Sony's Open Season by year's end.

Sony's Resident Evil: Afterlife is expected to be the first day-and-date Blu-ray 3D release in either December or January.
