Fuse Where is the fuse on my dryer??? I push start and lights come on and I hear a click but it just wont start. I have searched everywhere for a diagram or something to help, but I can't find a thing!! Can someone help, PLEASE!!!! my model nu,ber is 110.8586 Thanks!!! Push button all lights go on but dryer will not start. Once a code PH came up? any help?

Possibly thermal fuse has blown from overheating, or possibly door switch, or broken belt to name a few things it could be.

Check the door switch. With the door open, press the button in and the light should go off. If you don't have a light, listen for a click form the switch as you push and release it. If you don't hear a click, you will need to replace the switch. If the switch is good, then problem will be with the thermal fuse located on the rear of the unit.

what is the model number?there are a couple of things you can check with the little info you sent,check the door switch,push the paddle in and out ,if it doesn't click it's bad,check to see if the belt broke,on some dryers there is a switch down near the pulley,if the belt brakes the dryer won't run,one more thing if your dryer hasn't had a clean out in a long time or if your clothes have been taking a long time to dry check the thermal fuse located on top of the blower wheel housing,if the lint filter is on top the fuse is in the back,take off the vent line,remove the back panel and check the fuse located to the right and down near the bottom of the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the filter is inside then the fuse is in the front the fuse is on top and to the right of the blower wheel housing,also you should clean out the duct that the filter slides into,blow out the vent line,check outside and make sure the flapper is not blocked with anything and vac out the inside of the dryer where the motor is,you need to do this once a year anyway,if you still need help send the model number and let me know what you find,unplug the dryer to clean it and when working on it and remove one of the wires when using your meter

Problem is either the door switch or the safety thermal, fuse,. Open door and manually push door switch lever to see if you hear a click when depressed. If you do then the problem is the safety fuse located on the blower housing. Small white plastic piece with 2 wires going to it. Hope this helps. Rick

there is a main fuse but check the door switch first,unplug remove the back the main fuse is to your left long and white check it with your meter-mike

your problem could be : Door switch, Motor, Thermal Fuse, Timer.

I would start with Door switch and Thermal Fuse.

Make sure it has power. Then:Check the door switch. A little lever sticking down through top right of door opening. If it is not there you will need new door switch(sometimes the little lever breaks off). If it is there and does not click when you press it in you need a new door switch. if it clicks when you close the door then you have a bad thermal fuse.The thermal fuse is found by taking the back of the dryer off. The fuse is an oblong white plastic piece with 2 wires attached.

one fuse is on the heater housing the other is on the blower housing if you have not removed it the wiring diagram is inside the console
