It sounds like you have a problem with the switch or battery. Try cleaning the battery contacts first and then remove the battery and look into the tool and see if the switch contacts are bent not allowing battery to seat firmly. If that is OK then I would think that you need a new switch. MAKE note of how you remove it because it is polarity sensitive. Let me know if you need more assistance.

SOURCE: Cannot engage hammer action

the problem is the metal part of the clutch that meets the pin from the transmission. remove the 4 screw from the clutch & check if the the inside of the clutch & the trans pin meets. all you can do is to push back the metal parts of the clutch setting.

SOURCE: The motor turns but the clutch will not engage

Take the drill out of the hammer drill setting when in reverse.  Using the drill setting with the speed on 1 will give the power to free the bit.  If the clutch will not engage, GENTLY but firmly switch between forward and reverse.  This should work just fine.   I hope this solution brings you success!  Best Regards,  Michael Mittelsdorf

Good battery but drill won't run

Push the battery in and out while pressing the trigger on the the drill to see if there is a loose connection here.
Check the terminals inside the drill and the battery terminals .These sometimes become tarnished and don't make contact. Clean with very fine sandpaper.

The drill starts and stops while I hold the trigger. Like its just missing, then it wont run. How can I fix this?

I suggest that you check the brushes, and the armature. Worn out brushes sometimes cause that condition.

Also, try different trigger settings, to eliminate that as an issue.

They all do that a bit. The sparks when starting up and stopping are normal. If it has been used alot brushes may be a good idea but before they need to be changed it will spark quite a bit.

It will not hurt to inspect the amount of brush material remaining.
