Detergent dispenser drawer stuck

I have been noticing residual water after load finishes in the detergent dispenser and now the drawer won't open. I think the blue dispenser has risen up during the wash and now is obstructing the drawer to open. I have shook the machine and drawer incessantly and it will not fall back into place so I can open the drawer. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

You may have to remove the washer top (three phillips screws at the back, then push top back about two inches and lift it off) then drill a hole in the top of the plastic dispenser to allow you to use an object like a screwdriver to maneuver the offending part around so it will drop down and allow you to open the dispenser drawer. Use foil tape to seal hole if you don't want to buy a new dispenser. Clean out blue plastic dispenser parts so detergent will siphon out completely. Pushing down on the center tab at the back of the dispenser should allow you to take the dispenser drawer the remainder of the way out. In the future, make sure you do not use over 1 tablespoon of HE soap (and 1 teaspoon of fabric softner) max per load. Even less if you have 2x or more detergent.

Detergent doesn't dispense from the drawer

Remove the drawer and clean it thoroughly, also clean the drawer area of any detergent residue. Check that there is water flow into the drawer from the inlet nozzles above it.
Make sure you are putting the detergent in the correct drawer compartment. If it still persists further investigation of the feed in and out pipes will be required..

Remove detergent drawer by pulling out, some models got a tab where you need to push for release. Remove plastic cover from softener compertment and clean it. It maybe clogged up with residues from softener or liquid detergent

I have front loader washing machine and the rubber has got mould and having difficulty in removing the black mould

  • Saturate an old cloth with white vinegar. Alternatively, you might use petroleum jelly on the cloth to remove the mold.Pull the gasket out gently with your hands to reveal the mold and mildew buildup inside the folds of the gasket.Wipe the mold away from the gasket with the cloth. Continue working to wipe away all mold from the folds of the rubber gasket.Dry the folds of the gasket with a dry cloth when you finish removing the mold.Repeat this procedure at least once per month to prevent mold and mildew from forming. If you notice mold occurring more frequently, clean it off when you see it.

  • Tips for Preventing Mold & Smelly Problems:
    • Always leave the door and dispenser unit slightly ajar after the laundry is done. Front-load washers and the detergent/softener dispenser drawer must dry out.
    • Never leave a wet washload in the washer overnight; remove it when the washing cycle is complete and leave the door open.
    • After a load is done, always rotate the drum with your hand to see and remove all items. Some could be sticking to top or sides of the washer drum.
    • Use softener sheets in the dryer instead of liquid softeners in the washer.
    • Liquid detergents may leave less residue than powdered formulas which may not dissolve properly.
    • Use less than the recommended detergent level for your load. Too much detergent can cause a residue build up. Experiment until you find a minimum measurement that delivers a clean wash. This is also a money saver.
    • Occasionally wash some loads such as whites, linen and towels in warm or hot water to help flush out wash residue.
    • Always clean your washer as per your product manual. High efficiency front-load models have a cleaning cycle and it's imperative that you periodically run this cycle as directed.
    • Check the gasket just inside the door opening and remove any visible debris. You can also wipe it to speed the drying process.
    • Always use HE detergents with high efficiency front-load washers. Specially marked HE laundry detergent is low sudsing and is recommended for these low-water washers.
    • If this advice was helpful a vote with the thumbs up would be appreciated. Thanks.

Water is pouring out of the detergent dispensing drawer from my 1 year old Samsung clothes washer model WF328AAW. When I opened the drawer, it was full of water. Something must be plugged. Is there...

Pull the drawer out you will find detergent has built up in side the dispenser probably from from way too much detergent, modern front loaders work best with a small amount of detergent and liquid detergent normally will wash better.

Detergent dispenser is filled with water after wash is completed.

The water is left there because the syphon action is not working in the dispenser, what you need to do is to remove the dispenser drawer completely and thoroughly clean the conditioner compartment, poking any holes or tube, particularly the syphon tube with a piece of flexible wire or similar to ensure it is completely unblocked.
. to test, fill the conditioner compartment with water, and it should slowly empty itself, if it does not, then it is still blocked.
    Plz rate this solution.Thanks.

The softener holder just fills with water but will not drain.

Is water left in the dispenser at the end of the cycle?
About two tablespoons of water remaining in the dispenser compartment at the end of the cycle is normal. At the end of the wash cycle, fresh water automatically cleans the dispenser. Check that the cycle is complete before opening the dispenser drawer.
    Is the dispenser drawer clogged?
A clogged dispenser can block the flow of water through the dispenser and cause water to leak out. Manually remove the dispenser, and clean any leftover detergent or additives that could clog the flow of water through the dispenser. Also, check that the detergent drawer is always completely closed during the cycle. If the drawer is not closed completely, water can leak out onto the floor.
Are the additives dispensing too early?
Here are a few things that can cause the additives (detergent, fabric softener or liquid chlorine bleach) to dispense early:
    • Check that the dispenser is not overfilled. Do not fill past the MAX fill lines on the dispenser. Overfilling can cause early dispensing of liquid chlorine bleach and/or fabric softener.
    • Check that the detergent separator is in the correct position. For liquid detergent, the separator should be in the front position. For powdered detergent, the separator should be in the rear position. If the separator is in the rear position while you are using liquid detergent, it will dispense immediately, which is not how it is designed to work.
    • Use powdered HE detergent when using the DELAY WASH option. Liquid detergent may dispense prior to the start of wash.
Are the additives dispensing too late?
The additives will not dispense until the proper time if the DELAY WASH option is selected.

    Dispenser problems

Open dispenser drawer and push down on center plastic tab at back of dispenser to allow you to take dispenser out of machine. Take the plastic pieces off and clean them. (they need to be clean in order to siphon the bleach, softener, etc out. If there is water left in them, the water fill valve is OK. Cleaning should fix your problem. If you are using concentrated additives, try diluting them a bit with warm water when you add them to the dispenser. Remember, only one tablespoon (max) detergent, one teaspoon (max) fabric softener per load.
