The Xbox has to be unlocked or you need to buy the disc for your region .Sometimes it is difficult to unlock the console but the other option is get or exchange for the right region.

It's a known fault, either take it back to the place you got it from or get it sent to Microsoft for repair (you can get it sorted on xbox.com if you live in the UK or US)
THe problem is very common. Your disc drive stopped working. You will need a new dvd drive. If under warranty send it to microsoft. If your not go to www.360-pros.com its cheap .
