LE error My washing machine is a Tromm ultra capacity direct drive system, Model number : WM2277HW. The machine turns itsself off and displays the following Error massage:LE Please advise

Hall sensor needs replacing (motor position sensor). Pretty easy and under$20. Check out appliancepartsproscom, repairclinic.com or YouTube for how to videos.

clean filter check that its drained all the water out any blockage and the machine will not spin

the pressure switch is jammed on meaning the water has not empty le reading the is excessive water in the machine

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

It is a motor error
• The connector in the LEAD WIRE ASSEMBLY is not connected to the connnector of STATOR ASSEMBLY Reconnect or repair the connector • The hall sensor is out of order/defective. Replace the STATOR ASSEMBLY

Definitely the Stator/Sensor/Hall switch. Go to http://www.mcminone.com and order part number 6501KW2002A (if your machine is model number WM2277HW). Remove rear panel, remove three retaining screws for sensor wires at left bottom of drum, remove drum outer retainer bolt in center, stator assembly is now exposed. Remove bolts holding stator assembly (I think there were six) and replace switch assembly by lightly prying tab locks off of stator. Press on new switch and reassemble...

LE stands for Load Error,
First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:

The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!

LE means a faulty motor. The motor is called the "stator" in this machine. Located behind the back panel. Pretty easy to replace in this machine. Replace the stator and it will work like new!
