The error code 545 or SC545 means that the fuser, also known as the fixer assembly has a thermistor problem (this part melts the toner onto the page). It could also mean that the fusing lamp is disconnected.

If a simple reset of the of the error code does not work ("Clear Mode"+107+"Clear/Stop" hold for 5s. Turn ON and OFF the Main Switch) you may need to have your machine serviced by a professional. It is your best bet to also have standard cleaning maintenance done by your on site technician after fixing the error.

You can check the following.
1. hot roller thermistor is out of position or dirty.
2. Fuser lamp is broken.
3. Thermostat is open. (Like a thermal fuse, there SHOULD be continuity)
4. Clean and scrap clean the gold pins that connect into the copier. Sometimes they get corroded or bent slightly out of shape so they don't make contact with the terminals.

You need to check 3 cause for that error:
- hot roller thermistor out of position
- fusing lamp broken (can you see the lamp going on at startup?)
- thermostat broken

I need help on how to disable the functional code sc545 with my dsm622 ricoh aficio 2022 copier
Thats a fuser failure code. I suspect your upper roller is bad and has loaded up the temp sensor. The sc545 is dangerous to play around with, a possible fire danger has occured and the machine has locked you out. This requires a tech to inspect and reset. Ricoh does not allow qualified/certified technicians to disseminate this information out to the customers due to the dangers involved.
