while watching TV, the screen goes completly black. Some times, it first loses sound. Some times it comes back on its own. When I unplug and re-plug, the problem is resolved for 5-30 minutes. Once it goes completley black, the remote loses most control, although I can turn the power on and off.

Exact same problem and Sony is giving me the run around for the last two months saying I need a new LCD panel but it is not known how long it would take to secure a replacement panel... I am so frustrated that I am tempted to take them to court

If it is connected to a cable box with an HDMI cable, try connecting up component instead

Haven't used our TV in six mos. It turned on OK but five minutes later turned off; but five minutes later turned on again but then turns off five minutes later. What to do? New TV or let it warm up?

Check all the connections of the flat cables inside the TV. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Sony kv-32s26 32 inch tv

video card went out in the tv. You are saying you need a schematic. Be real careful getting into tvs. They have very large capacitating capacitators in them that can electrocute you. You need to take it to a repair specialist and have them run a check on it. Sounds like the video card to me though.
