I have the HT-S3100 model, and hooked up my tv, xbox360, and Wii to it. The audio works for all three, but the only video I can get is for the xbox. I am using the component hookup and it is hooked up correctly. Why is the video not working for the tv and Wii?

On all tv's there should be independent input for all devices. Xbox 360 ,Wii, and tv. Take a look at input at the back of tv. The Xbox input should coincide audio/video. The same with each device. Then you use the tv's remote to select the input for each device. They should all work independently from each other. Such as component 1 for Xbox, component 2 for Wii, and depending on what type of tv input you use, such as coaxial, RCA, you note and put tv input setting on the device that you are going to use. If you have the audio working on each device, check the video input for each device. Make sure they correspond.

How do I hook up a 360 the magnavox. T.v

Your picture is small, but it looks like you've got available HDMI jacks on it. if so, connect and HDMI cable between the Xbox360 and you're done! High Def video and audio will be sent to the TV when you select the input that matches the one you've connected the Xbox360 to. More details linked below:

Cable TV blinks on and off when connected to my Onkyo receiver.

I have the same problem.  It only occurs with my HD DVR (HDMI cable), not my blue ray (HDMI cable), or my xbox and wii (component video).  Video and audio cutout is random and drives the family nuts.  I am desperate for a solution.

How to hook up a Wii to a Denon AVR 1708

If you are video switching through the Denon, you may need to make sure the inputs (analog, composite) are the same as the outputs. For example, you might have component out to the monitor, but composite in from the Wii. I don't believe the 1708 can do the upconversion. Try hooking up a yellow RCA cable from video out to the TV.

I have a Onkyo HT-S6100 sound system which has the HT-R667 receiver. I have a DirecTV dvr hooked up with hdmi, a PS4 hooked up with hdmi, and a Wii hooked up through component cables. The receiver is...

My HT-S6100 had a similar problem with my DVD player and some times with my Cable/DVR box. The signal wasn't getting received at the TV. So, first I changed the input jacks my DVD and Cable box are plugged into on the receiver (e.g. from HDMI 1 & HDMI 3 to HDMI 2 & HDMI 4). Second, I reprogrammed the Input Assignments to match (e.g. HDMI in 2&4). Third, I deleted any Input Assignments that weren't applicable. For instance, I'm only using HDMI connections, but there were Digital and Component Input Assignments programmed in. When I say I deleted them, I actually set them to "----" (just scroll through the options and you'll find this.) Finally, I turn on my video/audio sources (PS3 in your case) and let them load/warm up before I turn on my Onkyo receiver. It seems to be working. Good luck.

Does onkyo HT-s3100 supports 4 Ohms speakers from JBL(control 1)

Palaboy is incorrect. JBL Control 1 speakers are 4 Ohm 150 watt speakers. He's probably thinking of the Control 1x speakers which are 8 ohm 80 watt speakers.

If you hook your Control 1s to that Onkyo, it won't sound great and could cause the receiver to overheat and trip the protection circuit if played at high volume.

Sony str-dg820. having a problem getting video on tv

Hook up Composite / Component Monitor Out wire from receiver to TV video input because receiver will not change analog input into HDMI
You need to connect receiver and TV through analog video terminals as above.
Actually you are expecting that receiver will convert DVD player and Xbox analog video input into digital HDMI signal for TV and This is incorrect.

Video inputs

I had the same problem until I switched my player-to-TV connection from S-Video to Composite.  Then it worked just fine.  Now I have player-to-TV as Composite, and Wii-to-player as Composite connected to Aux1.
