Can't save the printer darkness in the printer

I am using a Zebra Z4mplus barcode printer. when I send print from the system the darkness of the printer dicreased.there for I can't get a clear print. then I possed the print and manually increase the darkness of the printer.then I will get the clear print. in next time the same is happening. I can't save the darkness of the printer permenantly.pls give solution for this issue

    Every time I print from a windows application to my zebra printer, it resets the 'darkness' back to 10. There is no way to set the darkness on the printer permanently to 15.

Go to printer driver properties.. 1.click printing preferences set it to USE PRINTER CONFIGURATION 2.go to advance click Printing Defaults set it to USE PRINTER CONFIGURATION
you must set this two configuration note: fresh installed driver defaulth to software control

Choose the software in the printer setting and find the parameters can be as heat setting or darkness.
If you are using ZPL commands, use ^MDxx (-30 to 30) or ~SDxx (00 to 30).

Hi, you can have 3 scenarios here, the print head is faulty, mainboard faulty or darkness set to low, please reset printer to factory default without any lpt/com/usb/network cables connected, turn off and on. try to run Pause test ( turn on printer with pause button pressed for 5 sec and release it)

My zebra z4mplus printer loads all the labels on the roll and when load the labels in the printer and turn the machine on. How can I make the printer stop loading after one label comes out?
I think your printer is set to print on Continuos media. If you use gap labels, you will need to set the printer from the menu on NOT CONTINUOS, then save the setting. In some cases the software or driver is the one who controls this setting. So you will need to change directly in the printer driver. You will find this option on the General tab (click Properties then) and Advanced tab (click on Printing Defaults). There you will have a list with printing parameters like speed, darkness, media type. Adjust as you need to fulfill your request. But first change directly to the printer, accessing the menu from control panel.

Printing is starting too low on the sticker although cutoff is in correct position,

Z4m printer problem
You may have an element or two on the left side of the printhead that is worn out and not printing. The best way to see if elements are not working is to use the widest label you have and run the PAUSE test. Turn the printer off, press and hold the PAUSE key while you turn the printer on. Keep pressing for about 10 seconds and then you can let go. When the printer is finished starting up, a test pattern will print. Part of the pattern is a black box. Any elements that are not working will show as white vertical lines. The only way to correct is to replace the printhead.

Print intensity settings getting lost
Sorry I don't think there is any system of saving the darkness setting, as it is thermal barcode level printer. It will always give you the save color depending on drum heat.

Zebra Z4MPlus not printing dark enough
In your label software there should be a setting option for print darkness (I assume it adjusts the head temperature) In ours (bartender) you can get to it when you select 'print' and a window appears with a 'documents properties' button. Click on this and select options and a darkness bar appears which you can adjust. You may also need to slow the label print speed if the darkness adjustment is not enough. I suspect it isn't in the printers best interest to run the print head at maximum darkness/heat so a sensible balance of darkness and print speed is best.
Another, less likely, possibility is an incompatability between the label material or surface finish, and the ribbon type. We did have a problem once whem Homebase changed their price label design and we had to test a load of other ribbon types until we got one that did the job. A chat with the label or ribbon supplier is always usefull, they sent us several sample bits to test.

You will need to send the data using ZPL or the printer won't recognize it , if you don't have experience in this area print through the Zebra Print Driver should work. In your application use Barcode 128 as the font and see how it goes

Unwanted underscores added to 2D barcode scan
are they the same barcode type?
what is the font set at? using Arial or other fonts can make the software send a more complicated image. use the Zebra Triuverate font. this keeps it simple. also, do a print out of the settings on each printer and compare them line by line. change the settings to match the printer that is printing correctly.
