Every day print off 6-12 sheets of paper using coloured ink, after you have printed or tried to print take cartridge outside and try to shake it close to the ground to make sure ink is coming out.

Hope this helps

The Kodak printhead is known to dry out. You can call kodak customerservice and complain your printhead is failling explain you have runthe printhead cleaning many times waisting your ink. They should shipyou a new printhead and free inktanks.

or if you dont want to wait on the phone....

Ihave found lysol hand wipes to work wonders on the kodak printhead. Ihave an ESP 5 and I have wiped the printhead with a lysol hand wipemany times and it works like new. Here is a link to the product.

http://lysol.com/products/disinfecting-wipes/dwipes-4-in-1/

To wipe the printhead follow these instuctions.

removethe printhead from the printer. put the tanks back into the printhead.Be very carefull not to drop the printhead and do not put the printheadon a table with the nozzle plate down (where the ink comes out). takethe hand wipe fold it a couple times. Gently wipe the printhead nozzelplate in the direction of the lines on the nozzle plate do not do acircular motion or wipe against the grain. you may not even have to usea wiping motion. you can just place the wipe on the nozzles and let theprinthead soak. this will clear up dried up ink and unclog the nozzles.

put the printhead back into the printer run one printhead clean once to purge the ink and try to print.

I hope this helps.

Iused my printer to do a photo guest book at my sisters wedding itturned out great (i wipped the printhead before i started all thepictures look perfect!)

How do you fix the colour printing grey instead of black

Do you need to change out your black color cartridge? Check your ink levels to make sure that you have plenty of each color. Also, check the settings for your printer (perhaps under "properties") and make sure that you haven't clicked on "grey scale". I hope that this helps.

Print keeps fading, even though using new ink

check your printer settings, make sure color only is not checked off, or if you mainly print black and white documents, you should have that option checked, you may have to go into advance printer options to do this.

Assuming that you are using original Canon cartridges or a brand of Compatibles that you have used before.

If print results are blurred, colors are faded or not printed correctly, the pint head nozzles are probably clogged.

Follow the procedure below to print the nozzle check pattern, check the print head nozzle condition, then clean the Print Head. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times.

If printed ruled lines are misaligned or print results are otherwise unsatisfactory, aligning the Print Head may improve print quality.

Caution Do not rinse or wipe the Print Head and ink tanks. This can cause trouble with the Print Head and ink
tanks.

Note Before performing maintenance
Open the Top Cover and make sure that all lamps on the ink tanks are lit red.
If not, see Checking the Ink Status and take an appropriate action.
Increasing the print quality in the printer driver settings may improve the print result.

Dell 926 injection refill kit didnt work

The ink your purchased is likely a cheap watered down version of what your printer is meant to take. You may notice that the ink smears when you rub the page directly after printing. Why you chose to use the blue and red ink to make black blows my mind. These refill kits are insanely cheap and buying the black could not have been much more. Not using black ink in the black cartridge would explain why your print is faded. Also, there is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. As long as the printer still prints, just ignore the ink level indicator and print until the ink runs dry. I recommend Cartridge World for ink refills because they use high quality ink to manufacturer specified volumes while still saving you money.
