My side by side has a water leak from the water-ice dispenser but the leak is coming from the shelf where you sit the glass .....the weird thing about it is that the water line has never been activiated due to the kitchen set-up..the leak appears like rust color...and due to it perpetual occurance . the door has blistered and rusted all around the portion where the water dispenser is located....
P.S. Another Frigidaire owner with same model has had same problem with and all of her door is totally rusted out....

The simple and most expensive solution is to replace the ice maker assembly. They sell for between 50 bux on e-bay to 150 bucks at Sears. From what I have seen most ice makers fit the same category and they look like they are all designed and built by the same company!!
The main problem is the gear on the backside of the unit snaps off for various reasons like ice cubes getting stuck and causing the ejector rake to jam, thus overloading the flimsy gear and snapping it off. You can not purchase the gear however you can choose to buy a gear-head assembly for 80 or so bux.

shows a typical repair kit. Just enter your model number on their website to find the exact match for your ice maker.
I repaired the broken gear on mine using some structural epoxy. Here is a pic of the repair in progress, The green stuff in the center of the gear is the epoxy I used. Good Luck!!
