Tip & How-To about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

For All XP user Don't Use IE 7.0 & higher version

Applicable for all window XP (all edition, all PCs and Laptops)

Hi there,
If you are getting trouble after the updates of internet explorer..

Then I would suggest you to Roll Back it to the original Internet Explorer (i.e Internet Explorer version 6.0)

Which come up with Installation of Win Xp with Service Pack 2.

Bad Effect due to IE 7.0 or higher version:

Screen hang up, internet freezes abruptly, prominent windows crashes anytime.

So to stop these problems, better to run with lower and safe version of IE:

To remove Internet Explorer 7 from your PC use the following methods

Method 1: Use "Add or Remove Programs" to uninstall Internet Explorer 7

Step 1: Use "Add or Remove Programs" to uninstall Internet Explorer 7

a. Click Start, and then click Run.

b In the Open box, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

c. In the list of programs, click Windows Internet Explorer 7, and then click Remove.

d. Follow the wizard instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7. Also remove if any updates under this entry found.

If you cannot uninstall Internet Explorer 7 by using this method, try Method 2.

Method 2: Use Spuninst.exe to uninstall Internet Explorer 7

Run Spuninst.exe to uninstall Internet Explorer 7

a. Click Start, and then click Run.

b. In the Open box, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then click OK.

c. Follow the wizard instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7.

After you uninstall Internet Explorer 7, double-click the Internet Explorer icon to verify that Internet Explorer 6 is restored.

This will bring up you to run Internet explorer as it come up with the installation kit, which is safe and reliable.

Some sites ... can't turn on sound (both browsers). Others OK. Running 11.8.800.94, XP, Firefox 23.0.1, IE 8. Fix? Note: the sound icon is non-responsive. Historically, when I hovered over the icon, the sound volume displayed and I could adjust it. Now, the volume doesn't display (nothing to adjust).

Hi Windows XP is outdated. Both internet explorer and Firefox browsers have stopped support for Windows XP. Latest Firefox version is 57.0.2 and it is not possible to install on Windows XP. Internet explorer also cannot be updated on Windows XP. Please check your motherboard's manufacturer's site to see what latest operating system, it will support. I guess old systems wont support Windows 10 but support only till Windows 7 or Windows 8. Please consider updating to latest operating system if you want to use for browsing.

i have windows home edition service pack 1 and i need to update my browser? i keep getting debug errors

You will need to update XP to Service Pack 3. Just Google "XP Service Pack 3" and follow instructions, OR go to http://www.microsoft.com/update - this will also update your browser to Internet Explorer 8.

You can install Firefox with no special updates, but it would be better to update to SP3 anyway.

no sound on internet

I'm assuming that you've already tried adjusting the volume on your computer and it's only the net that's lacking audio. It's possibly compatibilty issues with the site(s) that your viewing and Explorer version that your running (IE8 is the latest version & it's free). You might also try updating your audio drivers from your PCs website. Good luck & hope this helps.
