Uninstall sweetim.com went to uninstall program and it was not there, yet it comes up as window image, it has replaced google chrome

If you like Google Chrome you can try repairing it. Look in upper right corner, click the 3 dots, click settings, scroll to bottom and hit advanced, scroll to bottom and click restore defaults. You can also click clean up just below and check for harmful software. You may be experiencing a result from that.

If you are running windows 10 you can use Microsoft edge. If you want to use internet explorer you will need to access it by right clicking start, click file explorer, double click local disk, (usually disk C) Double click program files, Double click internet explorer, look for iexplore.exe, right click and choose pin to taskbar. under programs should be

uninstall program--click on it

it should bring up everything installed

find the google chrome and at the top look for uninstall

click on it and it should uninstall the program

You can disable addons on Google Chrome.

it should be in control panel just find sweetim in the list, if you can't find it there, go to start>all programs and try and find it in your list and there should be an uninstall. if it loads in your browser and not a seperate program then it's an add-on and can be removed via the tools menu in whatever browser you're using

You can remove this application from add and remove programs in control panel if you are running a
Windows operating system.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add and Remove programs.

Select google chrome and click uninstall. Be sure to reboot.

Uninstall and reinstall the program to so if you using Windows XP go to Start/Control Panel/Switch to Classic view/Add and Remove Programs/Uninstall Google Chrome. Windows Vista/7 Start/Control Panel/Under Programs Uninstall a program. Reinstall it from www.googlechrome.com good luck

Yes. It's spyware, so if you had decent anti-malware protection, you wouldn't've been able to install it in the first place, but that's another story.
