I have a DGB-600 that gurgled and steamed after vinegar cleaning. Six years old and makes great coffee. Removed bottom 4 star screws as suggested by others. Be careful the screws are star with a metal spike in the middle and you need a star (T-10) with a hole in the middle. The bottom comes off (it has two plastic inserts at the front side so be careful). Removed the hose clips and blew in the hoses. One should not blow through. Used a small screwdriver to close the check valve and reassembled. Works great again.

I just called Cuisinart and they will send me another brew basket for my DCC-100 (it has a Brew Pause valve also) for $9.14 (part + S&H). Did you try to contact Cuisinart?

I pulled it almost all the way open- towards back and used a flat screwdriver (or small philips that can fit in space from behind) and I pushed up a bit towards center and it came right off- don't worry- shouldn't break if you just ease it out of it base on either side.

Replace the filter basket - they can be had for around $6.00 plus shipping - you can even get them directly from Cuisinart.
