When the load starts, the washer buzzes and then the FL code is shown

I put in a load of towels on the cotton cycle, The machine started, buzzed a few times and then the FL code appeared. After that, I looked up the code, took out half of a small load of towels and tried again with the same results.

This is a Failed to Lock Code. Check the seal at the lock to see if something is in the way or blocking it. Overloading or having too many clothes in the way will also cause the door to fail to seat correctly. Generally however the lock mechanism needs to be replaced or reseated as it is no longer making contact with the control board.

Washer states sensing with a buzz sound?

Hello keisha, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire washer is making a buzzing sound until the cancel or start button has been pushed. It sounds like it could be a possible issue within the door either not being fully closed or it could be a defective switch. I would recommend resetting your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power to the appliance for roughly ten minutes. Please comment back if that did not help correct the issue. -Matt

FL code on Washer

FL is a door lock code. open the soap dispenser door, and find the thin flourescent green, or bright red color nylon cord located in the front left or right areas of the dispenser area, this will allow you to manually release the door lock. Empty the washer, close the door and perform another drain and spin cycle, if the door lock still fails, you may need to have the door lock assy replaced, especially if the door lock is making a click, or buzzing soung like it wants to operate, if it's completely quiet than you may need the board replaced...Pleazer Appliance...

Fl code and door will not open

Codes are in your owners manual

That may be in a bag under the machine,
hiding, so you call for service & not use it

My GLTF 2940 makes a buzzing sound like a relay not pulling in all the way, during the rinse cycle. If you shut off the washer, and restart it on the rinse only cycle, it goes away.

its probably your cold water rinse only valves solenoid thats loose on the structure or the coil itself is loose, you may not hear it all the time especially during the initial wash start fill, try this, set the washer for cold water fill only on the washer, but turn off the water valves that supply water and start your machine to a wash cycle as normal, try this and see if it dry buzzes(without water),then try the same on the hot side, then with the water still off open up the machine and you can localize the buzzing noise

Makes a loud buzzing noise when attempting to start cycle

The lock solenoid on the door latch assembly may be hanging up or just noisey. If washer starts and runs then all is ok. If washer wont start, just buzzes, then door latch assembly may have to be changed.

Washer makes a buzz noise shuts off displys do and fl

I used the recommendation of removing the soap dispenser area on top of the machine, under that area is a thin green nylon cord that when pulled will release the lock on the door of the machine and open it. after the door was opened it reset the machine and now is working fine.

"FL" light

The "FL" error code indicates that the door is not locking. The buzzing sound you hear is most likely the door lock trying to lock the door. It may only be a matter of aligning the door so that it locks properly. Otherwise, you may have a faulty door lock that needs to be replaced.
