I have a Maytag Neptune MAH 6700 AWW. It is shutting off and giving error code tE. Customer service does not recognize the error code. Can you help?

It takes in water but then shuts off and errors again.

Contact the repairclinic.com for help, they are an online parts site. Sears Direct also has a great website with exploded views of the washer to air in a self help repair. Both offer parts at reduced cost. I am just passing on the info, have no connection to either website.

I have another question....We tested the thermistor, unplugged the connections at both ends of the loom and greased them...still errors out. We noticed that the control knob feels really sloppy and if you just touch it the warning beep sounds and the tE error code flashes. My husband bypassed the thermistor and we still get the tE code. Is it possible the electronic control board is causing this? Thank you

This is a problem with the signal from the water heating element "Thermistor" a Thermistor is a solid state sensor that senses temperature, in this case water temp. The Thermistor is part of the washers water heating assembly and not sold separately from it. There is a factory repair bulletin associated with the problem and the new part has improved reliability. I can't understand what the Maytag folks you called would tell you it is not listed, it is a common fault in the Neptune. Please rate my help. Thanks

Check voltages at the outlet. My guess is that you are on the HVAC circuit, and the Neptune is more sensitive than your hvac equipment. Also check that the neutral is about the same potential as the ground.

SOURCE: maytag neptune MAH 9700 AWW - error code nd

you need to remove the front cover by removing th escrews holding on the door hinge nad 2 other screws oppisite the hinge, after taking off screws the front "u" shaped panel will pull foward and off( hoeld on by 2 clips along the bottom. the drain pump is located right back corner of machine..ill assume that the machine is still full of water so youll need ot **** out as much as possible before removing the hose connected to the pump. theris going to be some water no matter how much you remove nut might as well get as much as you can. youll either find debris in hose, or debris lodged in imoeller of pump, even seen coins standing in the plastic hosing preventing flow of water.VERY< VERY rarely bad pump ussually just a clog.IMPORTANT UNPLUG UNIT FIRST LOTS OF LIVE WIRES UNDER HERE

NF - No Fill
It means that the Washer does not turn on water valves to fill washer with water.

Try the following steps and the problem should be solved.

1.Is the water turned on?

2.Check inlet hose screens for restriction.

3.Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to pressure switch.

4.Check water valve.

5.Check inputs and outputs at machine control board.

Good luck. And please do rate my answer.Thank you.

MAH 2400 AWW flashing error code "dc"

Hi Pepsi,
"dc" means that the control board is trying to ramp up (that is, send a signal to the motor controller), but has encountered an unbalanced load and so shuts down. Specifically, "dc" means "distribute clothes".

I took this opportunity to upload a Tech and Troubleshooting manual for you. Here is the link for it. Read it carefully. You will be required to perform a "board output" test after placing the machine in "Service Mode".

I gotta tell ya, though. Based on my history with these, I highly suspect that the machine control board has failed. Let me know what you find, OK?

(And don't forget to rate this solution as "FixYA!", deal?

E3 code showing sometimes on Neptune MAH-3

“E3” code – Machine control is attempting to drive the motor but is not seeing any tach response. Visual Check shows motor is not moving. (Locked or Hall Sensor fault.)
Possible causes of ‘E3’ codes: 1. Spin drum stuck – Verify that the spinner moves freely to eliminate this cause. 2. Hall Sensor fails or is loose – When the Hall Sensor fails or becomes dislodged, the control doesn't recognize that the motor is spinning and shuts down. The result will likely be an “E3” code in the worst case, or “SUdS” if it is only getting a partial rpm reading. Check wire harness connector(s) to motor.
Hall Sensor – PCB that is located on the back of the motor that senses motor rpm. It is not a separate part, but rather an integral part of the motor.
