I bought this Minolta Multi Pro 2nd second hand and everything works except that the color and brightness of the scanned image appear too redish and dark compared to the slide viewed on a light box.
I do not have an IT8 target to calibrate the color/brightness but the pre-scanned image looked normal on screen (pretty correct color and brightness visual so that the possibility of the screen playing up is ruled out) whereas our after scanning, the scanned image became too redish and dark. Both Adsee and PS showed that the scanned images are too redish and dark.
Do I need a calibration or I have a weak lamp element that requires replacing.
Please share your experience/opinions. Thanks.
Jeremy

SOURCE: Scans slides too dark.
I had red lines after running student art work that done with markers and mounted (this made it think) . I ran Clorox Disinfection wipes on top white paper through the scanner. After about 6 wipes the scanner now scans line free!
