What is fuel mixture on 25 cc craftsman weedwacker

This small engine needs a 40:1 ratio. Use only 2 cycle oil, not motor oil. If you are mixing one gallon of fuel use 3.2 ounces of the 2 cycle oil. This should give correct mixture so you do not get lots of smoke when you start. Take the time to measure. Note: there should be a marking somewhere on the engine about the mixture.

POULAN 25CC NOT STARTING AND BEFORE THIS HAPPEND IT WAS OVER HEATING

overheating on a 2 stroke is usually caused by lack of oil mixture. try draining all the fuel and re mixing the ratioo to a 40 to 1 ratio. if no smoke then richen the mixture till it slightly smokes. i.e. 50:1 ratio

Wont start

hello sir, the gas / oil ratio is, 3/4 o/z per quart or 2.6 o/z per gallon of two cycle oil, any two cycle oil will do,this is how i mix mine and never had a problem,it is a good mix.hope this helps,don't forget the 4 thumbs up,any comments welcome,thank you. ``

40:1 mix, 3.2 oz of 2 stroke oil for every gallon of gas.

My weedeater want start change spark plug

I would have a cylinder compression done on the engine before spending any more money. It may be below 100 psi and will not run. Plus if your fuel mixture is over 30 days old I would mix up some fresh fuel mixture.
Or the diaphragm in the carburetor has become stiff and is not pumping any fuel.

For two stroke engines of this capacity the ratio of fuel to two stroke oil is (25:1) 25 fuel to 1 (two stroke) oil. Eg 200 ml of two stroke oil to 5 litres of fuel.

It is never a bad idea to do so. If the unit has some years on it, I would say yes. Inspect it, and if it is still nice and white, keep it. If it isn't, I would replace it.

How about the needle and seat? Have you adjusted the air/fuel ratio to 1 1/4 turn out? How good is your intake gasket?

it's doubtful that bad gas caused this, it sounds like the cord was back-lashed and partially came off the recoil pulley. Remove the recoil cover and ensure the cord is all on the pulley, make sure the rewind mechanism works smoothly before re-installing.
