I just got the new HD DVR & satellite for my DishTV system on 10/16/08. The Info screen keeps randomly appearing even though no one's touching the remote. I've tried resetting the system by holding down the power button on the front of the receiver, but the problem persists. Everything else seems to work great. The receiver is connected to a new Toshiba 46" LCD TV.
The "old" non-DVR is located in the next room, and that remote will also control the HD DVR, but it is not in use during the phantom appearances of the info screen.
The problem has nothing to do with the television. To fix it, simply change the remote address. The directions for this are in the Dish manual, or you can check it out on the website here: http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/622.shtml

Same thing here with my 1 year old 522 (dual tuner DVR). Just started doing it! I'm using the OEM Dish UHF remote.
Have a "new" Toshiba 46" LCD and the same thing is happening. Only happens with this TV and not the others we own. Bought it in early December and the main board quit after three-days. Just got the TV back from warranty service two days ago after four months. Think that this DISH network INFO window fluke might be a compatibility issue. Word in that these Toshiba sets have problems with numerous other components. If this keeps up, I intend to get rid of the Toshiba as it's been nothing but problems. Glad that I kept the carton.
