My panasonic home theatre model no. Panasonic SC-HT520 is creating problem with some disk. after lots of struggle in reading it gave up, two days back one of my disc (Verbatim dual layer disc) which was copied from nero o.e.m. was working absolutely fine but now when i insert d same disc again, my player can't read it, a message appeared on T.V. says disc is dirty, but d disc was absolutely fine and it runs smoothly in other dvd players. my system is just 7 months old. and is in good condition. one more problem is that, once i copied mp3 songs on a dvd+r (hp media) from nero o.e.m., my player shows a message that 'these type of disc can not be played'. kindly suggest me some...

I have a Digital Home Theater HT-DS400 Samsung. I have problems in reading a music CD or a DVD. You can read the message "Loading.." for a while and then stops and reads "NO DISC". ...

  • Make sure you have a non home made DVD. Some DVD players will not play DVD'S in certain formats.
  • If you have a normal DVD in the DVD player and are getting "NO Disk" then there is a real good possibility the lens is just so dirty that it is not recognizing your DVD at all. This happens a lot to all disk players that are neglected from the cleaning process. Get a disk player cleaner and run it through a few times until the disk is read again. Sometimes the lens is so dirty you have to try a few times just to get the cleaner disk itself to play just to do the actual cleaning. Make sure to run that cleaner disk through once a week. These disk cleaners "sweep" the lens and work well. You can get one at your local Best Buy for $8usd.
  • The last thing it could be is that somehow the lens has come out of alignment. Just a millimeter out of alignment is all it takes to not be able to read a disk and DVD players get bumped and knocked off the shelf easy. So this can happen often especially with the more smaller travel DVD player.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

When I insert a disc I get a "Disc Error" after

Most DVD players display that kind of error when unable to read data on you disc media. Try other DVD disc if that post the same problem. A new one will test if it is the unit problem or the media disc problem. If it post the same problem on a disc that runs well on other players then your player probably has a dirty lens. You can clean the lens using commercially available DVD lens cleaner on the market.

Samsung DVD player when disc put in after trying to load it comes up with a message disc error on all discs

it can be two possibilities. 1)either the disk is faulty.check out in another player or drive and confirm whether the disk is properly working. 2)or the lens in the drive which reads the disk is either faulty or got dusty.in the electronics shop you get lens cleaning cd.insert that in your drive and play it.it will spin for a period of time and stop.then insert your dvd disk and check out if the same problem.then drive inner lens is faulty and needs replacement.

My NAD cd/dvd T550 displays NO DISC.

I have the same problem. When I insert a disk, my NAD T 550 DVD player displays 'No Disc'. It started with new disks while still reading older disks, but at some time it stopped recognizing any disk. Did you receive any suggestion yet or has anyone a suggestion?
