LG Refrig ice maker on model LSC27950 overflow bar i think is stuck in one position because it made to much ice and jammed it up. now no ice is being produced
Problem is that if you push the bar down, it drops one batch of ice, the bar moves itself to the up position and stays there and no more ice will be made.
It started with making too much ice and jamming. After emptying the ice, the bar seemed stuck up and didn't want to move (I didn't want to force it down). I used the hairdryer on where the bar goes into the unit. I could feel it melting and loosening up until it finally would move freely. Pushed it down, it made one batch of ice. Now I'm stuck in the situation described.

You lift the bar up to shut the ice maker off . or the ice fills and shuts the ice maker off . simply push the bar back down to star the ice maker in operating again

to turn of water / use the valve behind the frig . or use chld lock on the panel . the ice maker if newer has a off sw . but most just lift the arm on the side of ice maker and leave in the up position and it is off.. mm
There is a stainless bar on the front of the ice maker. It move out and back to check for ice in the bucket. This bar is stuck and the ice maker thinks there is no need to harvest ice.
Try to move this bar and I bet it is stuck.
You can get a new Ice maker from Ebay and replace it yourself.
its the ice maker .water or condensation has built up in the ice maker modual and refroze upon turning unit back on.either get a new ice maker or uninstall the ice maker and let it dry for a few days and reinstall.but it could happen again that way.or maybe not.
Water is getting into the area where the arm pivots and freezing. This prevents the arm from dropping down when it should. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice in the area of where the arms comes out of the base. As soon as the arm drops, the ice maker will make more ice. This LG in the door icemaker is junk.
When the ice maker calls for water it pours for about 7 seconds if more will overflow and the problem is in the ice maker board but if pours water for nomore than 7 seconds and still overflow it means that was extra water in the ice maker ,that means that the dual water valve(located in the bottom back of the refrigerator) is leaking and needs to be replaced.
