just update your phones firmware using nokia software updater. it will then be fine if this is a software fault.

The phone does not have a front camera.

To use secondary camera on Nokia XM 5800 please ensure your phone firmware is above v20 and above, To check your current firmware version dial *#0000# you can then press options > check for updates. in case it is not updated.

If the firmware is upgraded then to enable the secondary/front camera follow these steps:

1. Activate the camera by pressing capture key

2. Go to options and select use secondary camera

Does the phone have an IMEI starting with "0044..."? If so, the update service won't do anything at all with it...

This is common on the Nokia N79. Your Sim card probably has text messages saved on it and the flashing icon is showing your sim sms memory is full. In the inbox go to the setting and view the sms on the sim, delete them and the message icon should stop flashing.
