Switch On your PC/ Laptop and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear.

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

Machine suddenly shuts off during playback or record - is this fixable?

When something goes wrong during playback etc, all VCR's will shut down to prevent tape damage, or further mechanical damage.
There are two possible causes for this problem. One is there is some sort of damage to the mechanism, possible a plastic part that is broken. The second cause is the mode switch. This tells the electronics what position the mechanism is in. If that goes wrong the electronics might think it is in eject mode when it's in playback, for example, with things going very wrongs as a result. All are fixable if you can get the parts!

When trying to view a picture that is on the camera's memory card I am only able to view the picture for a couple of seconds before the picture viewer goes blank.

you will need to perform a factory reset ( in the settings menu). this will reset the amount of time that the picture remains on the screen after taking a picture, this should also have the additional desired effect of allowing you to view the image in playback for as long as you like.

Sony CCD-TRV65. Blue screen during playback

Just bought the exact one from a yard sale for 20 bucks. Had the very same problem with the blue screen on playback. What i did is replace the battery in the small bay when you open the viewfinder. Try playing your tape again and it will work!

Olympus DS30 voice recorder play speed issue

Hi, the solution to the problem seems to be the following. When u press play, once, you get 1x play. If whilst playing you press play a second time the DS-30 goes into slow play mode, and if you press a second time it goes into fast mode. For those of us who accidentally went into either fast or slow mode, just press the play button again, during playback, until "play" appears on the LCD screen. Apparently it is as simple as that.

Playback

That's dirty video head! Try to playback new tape for five minutes, do it for 2 to 3 times, this will serve as your videohead cleaner. eject then reinsert then playback, eject again for at least 3 to five times. most camera has a built in videohead cleaner that activates during eject, initial play and reinsert mode. you can even try to play the whole blank tape! thats 1 to 2 hours of playback! If the problem is still there after doing those things, you need pro fix then.
