Ricoh CL7000 protected menu

I bought a Ricoh Aficio CL7000 from a small company which has folded. They claim that the total page count is around 11000. I cannot access the menu as every time I do, I get a message that says "menu protected cannot change". Also recently I get large vertical lines first in yello and now magenta too.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How can i find out how many printouts i made on my CL7000 Printer
From the menu, select "List/Test Print" and then select "Config page" and ok. the page it prints out will give you the details of the machine including the total pages printed.

Installed XP printer driver for Ricoh CL7000 5c
during the installation you have to select this option, by default the duplex option is not selected. Uninstall the software, restart your pc and install the software again, and select the duplexing option. I hope this helps

If you have it connected by a CAT5 network wire, then the answer is no.

if you are using a usb 1.1 port on your computer to print to it, then that port is a slow port. I would recommend getting a faster 2.0 usb adaptor and using that port. It will print a little faster.

You NEED to REPLACE the black development unit with a BRAND NEW item......these things are chipped so it won't accept previously installed units.If the problem still exists try a new PCU (toner cartridge).
