Kitchenaid superba icemaker leaking/freezing in freezer section

Kitchenaid superba icemaker makes ice, freezer is cold enough but water is leaking and freezing in big drips down front of freezer bins. We installed new filter, took icemaker unit out and thawed and cleaned, reinstalled, but problem is before the ice leaves the main unit.

Model KSRS25FGWH01-water is dripping inside the freezer from the ice maker. Water also drips out the ice chute on the front of the freezer section onto the floor.

same here. everything sucks these days

Had repairs made to only the ice maker every year for the 5 year warranty. Ice maker has continued to have problems. Noticed frost on auto dispenser and ice was clumping and not dispensing through door. The clumping was caused by water dripping into ice container from the ice making mechanism. Over a couple weeks time, the water dripping worsened and the ice in the container sticks together to the point where the arm that pushes cubes through the dispenser can't turn. Also, the ice maker has also frozen with a load of ice half way through a turn so it has stopped working. KitchenAid should issue a recall on this model's ice maker - it's the right thing to do!

Your water hose that connects to the back of the freezer may be loose. Move the fridge out away and in the back make sure it is tightend.

Let me know if it helped :)

ICEMAKER HAS NO WATER IN IT AND ICE STRIPPER NOT MOVING BUT WATER DISPENSER WORKS KITCHENAID SUPERBA MODEL #KSCS23INBL00 SIDE BY SIDE WITH ICE AND WATER DISPENSER IN DOOR

First check to make sure the icemaker is on. Most icemakers have what looks like a wire that extends to the right. Down is on, up is off. If yours does not have this, there might be an on off switch on the icemaker itself. If the wire (bale) is on, or the switch is on, then the icemaker is defective, unless the freezer is too warm. Icemakers have a thermostat in them that will not let them operate if the freezer is too warm. Sometimes that thermostat will not activate until the freezer is 15 degrees.

Freezer not freezing ice cream and milk

Icecream is a tough call. Some brands have to many artaficial ingredients and that doesnt get solid. What temps are you getting in the freezer? Is everything else frozen solid?

Freezer and icemaker freezes, jams.

I have run into this before and found it very helpful to re-level the refrigerator. By leaning the fridge back toward the wall about an inch helped keep the water and ice in the tray. Remember to remove items that block air flow in the freezer. Remove the ice bin and clean it then start over with the fridge leaning back a little. Hope this helps.

Keeps making ice, i can't seem to make it stop.

You have an emitter and receiver in the freezer section...Actually when you slide the lever on the right side in the middle of the freezer section, you break the beam...and it is suppose to stop the ice maker from harvesting ice anymore. If this shut off device fails, it can fail in the on position and continue to make ice. Replace this assemlby sold in a kit and you will be fine. In the mean time, if you can remove the ice maker head and unplug it, that will stop the ice until you can replace the emitter and receiver assembly. You can also shut the water off but the ice maker will continue to operate, just not dispense ice. If extending and waiting on this repair you should disconnect the ice maker.....

Ice maker not making ice

1)First check you have a water line that is getting water to the ice maker.

2)Ice makers have a valve at the bottom that open and close when told by the ice maker replace that cheap fix.

3)The ice maker needs to be repaced.
(how far into the line will the water freezehow far into the line will the water freeze)
.The valve at the back opens and closes will not leave water in the line to freeze.

Kitchenaid Icemaker leaking in big drips on front of freezer bins

Either the inlet valve is stuck or the icemaker solenoid is shored.

Most likely the second one.
