Does the Samsung LCD TV LE26R74BD include an MPEG-4 decoder ?

I have the following model of TV : Samsung LCD TV LE26R74BD Broadcast of MPEG-4 decoded digital TV signal started in my area but using the DTV menu of my device all in all that i can have is the sound of the specific digital broadcast. Is it because my TV device does not include an MPEG-4 decoder ? I can see/hear without any problem the MPEG-2 decoded broadcast in my area.

SOURCE: Is my Toshiba TV ready for digital broadcast?

Hi,

this is a conventional NTSC analog television receiver. It does not have "digital tuning". If you want to receiver digital signals off-air with an antenna you will need to purchase the digital adapter. If you are receiving your signal by cable you can continue to receive just as in the past.

If you are concerned about the change in broadcast which suspends analog signals from over-air transmission in Feb 2009, you will need the converter only if you are receiving over-air via an antenna. If by cable there will be no change (unless your cable company is doing something on their own).

Seeing that you have a superior brand and not getting channels is a bummer. It may have to do with the setting, make sure you're set to cable rather antenna and then do a rescan. Btw, often times channels from an over the antenna is much clearer than from cable because cable tv has to compress the signal. If you're high in the air like the top floor of a building a cheap $10 will pull in great free digital channels. It helps to experiment and read the troubleshooting guide in your manual.

I have Pinnacle studio 12 and when I want to add a movie I get the comment that I have to install MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding. Where can I find that file and how do I do it?

To install MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding, you can try the following steps:
  1. Go to the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder on your computer.
  2. Look for a folder named "Redist" or "Redistributables".
  3. Inside the "Redist" folder, look for a file called "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" or similar.
  4. Double-click on the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file to run the installation process.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by the installer to complete the installation.
If you cannot find the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file in the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder, you may need to download it from the internet. You can search for "MPEG-4 Codec download" in your preferred search engine and look for a trusted website to download it from. Once downloaded, double-click on the file to run the installation process, and follow the instructions provided by the installer to complete the installation.
Once the MPEG-4 Codec is installed, you should be able to add movies to Pinnacle Studio 12 without any issues.

What music formats will the PIONEER CD PLAYER DEH P3000 PLAY

Hi
I give below a list of formats given in the manual which will play on your machine:
MP3 decoding format ........... MPEG-1 & 2 Audio Layer 3
WMA decoding format ......... Ver. 7, 7.1, 8, 9, 10, 11 (2ch
audio) (Windows Media Player) AAC decoding format ............ MPEG-4 AAC (iTunes® encoded
only) (.m4a) (Ver. 7.2 and earlier) WAV signal format .................. Linear PCM & MS ADPCM
Although these should play, pages 49 & 50 of the manual give a lot more detail, including that an unfinalised disk will NOT play, and I would recommend that you go here:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/PUSA/Files/DEHP3000IBOperationManual1023.pdf
download the manual and store it on disk for future reference.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

I just purchased a Coby TV Model number TFTV 3255. I am very happy with the set. However it has only ONE audio output. The manual, on page 7, "coaxial output" ,an optical audio cable is required....

If it is a single output and looks like an RCA type, then I would say that the cable you would need is a digital coaxial cable. The optical input/output will have a different shape and is not as big of an opening as a digital coaxial input/output.

Dvd problem

Sure,

Here is the link location for KLite full download package. Ignore teh ad while your download is prepared. Then, download and install.

Use all the defaults during installation, afterwards you should be okay.

You'll also see a new player called Media Player Classic that can play just about anything you have or download to play in the future from movies to TV.

Please rate this solution, thanks.
