When I try to turn my receiver on it says Chk Speaker and it shuts off by its self. Any sugestions on how to solve this problem?
Does this mean system is fucked
I have the same problem... I read that it can be a capacitor issue, they are on backwards. I just dropped mine off with the repair guy today... Does anyone know of a fix? Mine first had an electrical zap, then smoked, now CHCK SPEAKERS then off, and on standby...
RT2250 could hear music but volume would not go up ,unhooked speakers got new ones and now i get a chck spker and shuts off w/ or w/o speakers connected

I have the same problem , I dosconnected mine because i was doing some house work , when I connected it back it gave me a CHCK SPKS , i found that one of the spakers was bad , took it off and still get the same message. Help please
UGGH! this is soo frustrating, i things that plug in should never have enough power to do damage to themselves, why couldent there be like a breaker, or a fuse to solve this issue. i used to get the check speakers thing after alittle spark action. but now all i get is a very loud series of three clicks coming from the unit, not the speakers. just like the one you normally hear, but much louder, and not as nice sounding. why cant anyone be less vague on a simple fix. who said that it could be backwards capacitors? dont they come the right way, what couldave suddenly made them become backwards after they worked fine? I just need some help, and i ramble when im frustrated, thanks anyone.
