I recently realized that my old flat screen had a VGA Port and a HDMI port on the back of it. Bingo! Long story short, I took an old 3.0GhZ, Win 7 Pro PC out of the closet, hooked it up to the TV with a VGA monitor cable, wireless keyboard and mouse, decent powered PC speakers, and BAM. Works great. NetFlix, YouTube, Hulu, whatever. Streams great. Not to mention PC games! Best thing I ever did with an old PC. It's just on a basic $49.95 a month Comcast router. Also, the TV has a good Digital Broadcast antenna attached to it (CBS,NBC,ABC,etc.). Just got rid of DirecTV! We watch WHATEVER WE WANT now!
I have a samsung tablet i should b able to connect the usb port into the tv from the tablet and ... Am I spinning my wheels trying to connect this PC to that TV? .... I have a windows computer, that i play Netflix on through an HDMI on our TV.
In this example I have my Windows 7 laptop connected to a Samsung HDTV with an HDMI cable. ... Watch Netflix - Computer Displays Blank or Screen Saver on TV .... It seemed like better quality sound kept trying to break through and then go back to whatever ... I am guessing the HDMI cable will give much better quality.
It should be as simple as taking an HDMI cable (if your computer has an HDMI output) or VGA (monitor) cable and hooking it into the TV. From there, go to Control Panel and Display Settings, and click which option you want for the TV screen under "Connect my PC to a projector."
This tv does it have cabilities for the internet by itself?Yes,than just go into Neflix website subscribe and watch ur shows. Not,than must used a computer to acess the internet an subscribe to Netflex and used the tv as a hook up and used it as a computer monitor to watch ur Netflex shows.
First of all you must check that your laptop supports a protocol called "DHCP" over DVI. Otherwise you are chasing your tail. This information will probably be in the manual or available online. DHCP is a special handshake protocol for HDMI and your television and computer will not talk to eachother without it. If you find it to be compatible you need to lock down which input on the TV it is. Plug something in via HDMI and verify you see it. Then unplug it and plug your computer into this port. You don't want to be flicking through inputs trying to find it. Also, hook up an external monitor to the laptop and figure what needs to be done to display on it. Then try the television. My guess, though, is that you won't find DHCP compatibility if it is an older laptop. My best advice is to buy a Playstation 3 and watch Netflix with that. Otherwise you'll need a different way of hooking up which might include buying an expensive converter box and/or watching poor quality video. -Good luck
There are multiple ways to stream Netflix over a high speed internet connection. You will need a device to run the Netflix streaming - your choices are Playstation3, Wii, Xbox, Tivo Premiere, or a Roku box. You could potentially use a computer connected to your TV to stream it as well, but the computer would need the appropriate outputs to hook up to your TV.
