How to unlock my LG KF510 on Virgin Mobile Aus.

try placing other sim card on your phone! if it still switches off, then you should send it to a service personnel!

To Unlock KG800/LG Chocolate
1. Insert sim from the network that it is locked to.
2. Turn on phone
3. On home Screen, Slide up phone
4. Type 2945#*#
5. ENG. Mode menu should appear
6. Go Down to Factory Reset Select it, may take a few minutes to reset!!!!!
7. This will reset the phone back to before the Phone was locked to a network
8. The phone will automaticaly Restart(Note The Network Logo At start up will not change)
9. Now insert Any simcard(Not tested with 3 sims)and the phone should turn on normaly
10. The phone is now unlocked and you can customise the setting as you like.

i bought my phone throught e-bay too i got optus sim card ask me about secuirty code (sos) i just put 4 zero ( 0000) the phone accepted and un locked try that

only the mobile phone service center can help you with the unlock codes.because each mobile phone has its own unique unlock code.and there are several thousand mobile phone device.as you give the imei number the service center of the mobile will porovide you with that code.as they do not mention this codes online and provide it for free.its necessary to get it from the service center,or from the websites who sell this codes which they get due to their contact with the service center.thats the only way.

Have you tried downloading LG's update software?

Seems like you need to install it before your allowed to download their drivers.

This is all I could find on the subject at the moment. Will collect some more info. But try the link and their updater. :)
