Does anyone know where I can find a manual for a Reddy Heater 40,000BTU model R40? WE bought ours at a garage sale but there was no manual with it. Or does anyone know where I can find an exploded view of it?

SOURCE: burning eyes, can't breathe.

These produce large amounts of carbon monoxide, so you essentially are poisoning yourself. Leave the garage door open part way when using it.

SOURCE: reddy heater,kerosene.no manual

The manuafactures website is still up. If you have the model # (should be located on the rating plate on the unit) you should be able to pull up a copy as long it isn't too old. Go to www.desatech.com

I hope this helps...

Bought model (I think this is model #) 29456 at yard sale; using it to heat garage -- do I need to vent? door open ok? or can I use ventless?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Anything that burns produces Carbon monoxide. There is no way to physically vent the space heater but you can leave a side door open for air. The key is to notice the signs of nausea, the lack of ability to do things requiring manual dexterity / clumsiness, dizziness or a headache when your using the unit. Also... it is a good idea to have someone check on you about every 30 minutes if your working alone in a garage. Make sure they know how to turn off the heater and how to open your garage door. (just common sense stuff)

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Reddy pro155 runs for 3 to 5 seconds

Reply with the correct model number. "Pro 155" designates a series. We need to know whether you have a heater with a spark plug or a heater with an ignitor (glowbar).
