Mr Slim MS 17 TN not working

I have a 2006 ductless Mr Slim MS 17 TN which does not work and is not out of warranty but Mitsubishi will not honor the warranty because they say that they don't make that unit anymore. I need to call someone at Mitsubishi customer service but I don't have a phone number to call. I am very disappointed with the quality of the unit and lack of response by the company. The service man said that the company will only warranty the parts not the unit. He has done everything he can to fix the unit' there appears to be some sort of orifice blockage. This is totally unsatisfactory.
Could you help me resolve this issue.

SOURCE: no heating from Mr slim

P8 refers to outdoor protection device activation usually caused by low gas charge or blocked condenser coil. any good a/c company can resolve this for you. however please note that if it is gas related a pressure test must be carried out to determine where that potential leak may be and that can be very costly.

SOURCE: Ductless heat pump systems

Fixr is correct. I do not recommend using the Mitsubishi or Sanyo below 17 degrees. It may cost you a fortune in electricity below 50 degrees depending upon where you live. Mitsubishi is the better model.

What is the temperature that is displayed on the Mitsubishi Mr Slim remote?

The temperature you see on your remote is the setting temperature. It does not display the current room temperature. All ductless systems work the same way. They just don't show what the current room temperature is. Not sure why.

Why is my Mitsubishi mr slim is blowing black particles into room?

Area where "fresh" air is being pulled in is dirty, filter needs replacement, heat exchanger is old, a seal is old/torn, or mold is shooting out!

Ductless heat pump systems

Heat pumps do loose their heating capacity and efficiency as temps drop. If you decide to rely on a heat pump you may want to make sure that your system has a back up heat strip, maybe even controled with an outdoor thermostat, if that is an option. The Mitsubishi is a great product.
