I just replaced my lamp and yellow light is still on. Owner's manual says "lamp status" reset instructions are on page 63, but no information re "lamp status" reset on that page. How do you reset lamp status.
I never received any message asking if lamp has been replaced.
Thanks, Carole

According to the manual this means the Lamp cover door is open or lamp cartridge is not secure.
See Appendix F for lamp replacement information.

I RECENTLY HAD A LAMP ISSUE THAT MAY ASSIST. I HAVE A MITSUBISHI WD-52525 52" DLP. I HAVE OWNED THE UNIT JUST OVE THREE YEARS. THE UNIT INDICATED THAT THE LAMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WHEN THE UNIT WAS TURNED ON. I ORDERED A LAMP AND BEFORE IT CAME IN THE UNIT QUIT WORKING. I REPLACED THE LAMP AND WHEN I POWERED UP THE UNIT I GOT A STEADY YELLOW INDICATION AND THEN A SOLID RED. MITSUBISHI TECH ADVICE STATED THAT I MAY HAVE BEEN SHIPPED A BAD REPLACEMENT LAMP. I SENT THE LAMP BACK AND ANOTHER WAS SENT TO ME. THAT LAMP ALSO GAVE THE SAME RESULTS. I CALLED CHUCKS ELECTRONIC REPAIR AND A VERY KNOWLEDGABLE TECHNICIAN RESPONDED TO MY HOME. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD WAS BAD AND THAT THE LAMP NEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I SPOKE WITH REPRESENTATIVES AT MITSUBISHI SEVERAL TIMES AND THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO BE A POSSIBITLY. THE TECHS AT MITUSBISHI BASICALLY JUST READ FROM THE OWNER MANUEL AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

Actually, I think I found the problem. I took the light out and cleaned the filter (screen) on the light cartridge. I turned the tv back on and it still gave me the message. As the tv was still on, I tapped on the fan that sends air directly to the light cartridge and the message went away. About 2 days later, I got the message back but went I shook the tv and tapped it on the stand a few times, it worked. I think that particular fan is going out and seems to be a problem with other tv's as well. Any ideas where I can buy a fan? Hope this helps you all out.

you have mention that after 10-15 seconds T.V starts up, will you give total description of the T.V within that 10-15 seconds?

similar issue. I did just replace the lamp, but I did get the Status Message asking if I replaced the lamp - "press Enter for Yes, Cancel for No". however, when I hit Enter, the lamp indicator light stays on instead of turning off. doing a sytem reset was no help either.
