I jhavent got to figure out what an F1 is. I suspect its a "Fill" code 1?
Does it fill with water okay? If it dosnt fill within a cretian time I bet the computer see this and causes a F1? But Im guessing.
If it is this take your hoses off the washer not the faucet. put loose ends in the washer tub and hold em down while Turning on the water. Look for rust, sand or any thing that might be coming into the screens. If you have low water pressure this could be the cause also. But only remove the hose on the faucet end if you have low water pressure then look for the screens on the faucet end.
Also check the inlet of the washer at the water valve for mud, dirt or anything.
I need to know if this is what an F1 code is if you wouldn't mind posting back and if this helps you please rate me as high as you can. Thank you and good luck.
I just called Whirlpool today 11/10/11 with the F1 issue. Whirlpool is contacting our local appliance store/repair place and arranging to pay them for the service call and work needed to repair the machine. In the meantime, the Whirlpool rep tells me the washer will most likely not be able to wash any more loads. With baby #6 coming in 5 weeks, this is a big concern! Hopefully the small town repair guys will come through for me.

We purchased our Kenmore Elite Top Loader approx 2 years ago and about 6 months ago I would start a load and a few minutes later I would hear it beeping and it would flast the F1 code. I can press start/stop button and it usually restarts, but since last night cannot get it to finish a load. Model#110.27062603.
