Can't set phone to use data supplied with sim card

I have instructions from my sim card provider as to how to go about enable the browser on my old LG K245 handset. The first instruction is to "scroll to connectivity" and I can't find this option on my phone. From there it goes on to say: "Select Scroll to Network and press OK Highlight Access Point and press OK Press Options and select New Access Point Scroll to APN, and enter wap.optus.net.au Scroll down to User ID and enter the phone number The password will remain blank Press Save and come back to the main menu Press Menu and scroll to the Browser and select OK Scroll down to the Settings and select OK Scroll down to Network Profile and select OK Select Options and highlight New Profile and press OK Highlight the name and enter Optus Zoo Scroll to Home Page and enter http://www.google.com.au Scroll down to Proxy and select OK Scroll to IP Address and enter 202.139.083.152 Scroll to Port number and enter 8070 Scroll to Security and select Not Secure Scroll to Access Point and select the newly created access point - Optus Zoo Press Done to save the settings Highlight the new created Optus Zoo profile and press OK to activate Press the back button twice, highlight Home and press Select Once you enter these settings, please turn your phone off, turn it back on and then attempt to access the internet." I'd be most appreciative if you could help me set up my phone's browser? Jenny

Mine works fine- here are my settings on thePrada (multimedia settings for messages)

T-Mo MMS as connection
Proxy port is 9201
Proxy IP is 216.155.165.50
Internet mode is WAP
Profile name is T-Mo MMS
MMSC is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

the best thing to resolve problem with LG PRADA is call directly your service provider and they will help you. Setting your phone in the configuration.

First you installed browser in tablets like opera is best. Then which types of network used, if you are used SIM support network then contact SIM phone company customer care, or if you are used direct network used then contact that customer care. Two possible issues ... You may have had an old SIM card ... or your Account has not been set for Data ... the data provision is enabled by the Service provider and your SIM card is part of that service ...
Call the CS and have them check that your phone's sim and account are both registered in their system ... once this is done ... you should be OK ..

Is it rooted? Does it have a custom ROM without the Google apps loaded? If so, you will need to flash the appropriate gapps to the phone.

Manual Installation:
- Download and unpack the recovery package
- use Root Explorer to remount /system rw
- copy the content of the package (3 files) into /system/bin folder
- set permissions individually to 777 on each of the 3 files from the zip

This sounds like you do not have Internet settings on the handset, In reality you will need to contact your network provider and request that they supply the Internet settings to rectify this issue.

How do you download a web browser for Verizon BB9530 now unlocked to AT&T

Hi, let me straight about the meaning of unlocked phone. If your phone already unlocked from verizon network using blackberry storm 9530 unlock code, you can use any sim card on that phone. Which mean you can access data service, internet service or everything else only from your sim card network provider. So if you use an att sim card on your mobile phone, there is no way to download verizon web browser and why you need verizon web browser? Why you just not to use att web browser? If you still insist to download verizon web browser you can replace your att sim card with verizon sim card, then you can download that web browser on your blackberry and what is the point you spend some of your money for blackberry unlock code if you still using verizon sim card?

Hello, make sure your blackberry phone already unlocked using blackberry storm 9530 unlock code. To test your phone already unlocked or not is by replace that original sim card with another sim card from other network provider. If you can't make a call using your new sim card maybe you have wrong blackberry unlock code, which mean your phone not yet unlocked. But if your phone already unlocked you can download att mobile browser by following a certain step from here. I hope it can solve your problem.

If the SIM is locked you need a PUK code, and that can only be supplied by the service provider.

Check the original documentation supplied with the SIM (if you still have it). Sometimes the PUK is provided. if you don't have it then you must contact the service provider as per the SIM branding; they will only provide the PUK to the registered subscriber so expect security questions. If you don't have a monthly contract and rely upon credit on a prepaid SIM, then unless you registered the SIM you will not be given a PUK code. If that happens, you lose use of the SIM completely along with the phone number and all data/credit stored on it. In that case you'll have to start again with a new SIM card/phone number, but should find that your contacts are still stored on your phone.

Onnce you have exceeded the maximum number of passcode attempts, the SIM will become locked and won't allow further attempts.

When that happens you must obtain a PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key). This can only be supplied by the network providerto either the registered subscriber.

If the SIM is a prepay credit SIM which has never been registered with the network provider, then the PUK code cannot be provided and the SIM card is useless. All data on it such as the phone number, pre-paid credit and any contacts stored on it will be lost.

The phone itself may also have a block on it, even if the PUK code is available as many phones enable the owner to set a handset specific security code (can be a passcode or can be a pattern drawn on the screen).

“Phone Lock” from page 5 in your quick manual:
• The automatic locking function has been enabled.
You must enter the phone’s password before you can use the phone.

Enter PUK from page 5 in your quick manual:
• The PIN code was entered incorrectly three times in succession and the phone is now blocked. Enter the PUK supplied by your service provider.

Enter PIN from page 5 of your quick manual:
• You are using your phone for the first time.
You must enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) supplied with the SIM card.
• The PIN Check feature is enabled. Every time the phone is switched on, the PIN has to be entered. To disable this feature, use the PIN check menu.

Try this to solve the problem:
Please insert SIM card. Ensure that a SIM card is installed
correctly.
Phone lock. When the phone lock feature is enabled, you must enter the password you set for the phone.
Enter PIN. When using the phone for the first time or when the PIN requirement is enabled, you must enter the PIN supplied with a SIM card. You can disable this feature by using the PIN lock menu.
Enter PUK. One of your SIM cards is blocked, usually as a result of entering your PIN incorrectly several times. You must enter the PUK supplied by your service provider. If all else fails you can call Samsung at 1-800-726-7864.
