-During initial setup, the kindle will require you to create or register an account. Follow on screen prompts.
-Kindle comes with a pre-loaded user's manual and a couple of dictionaries.
-During set up process, kindle will ask you to connect to Facebook and Twitter, you can skip this at bottom of page.

3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network

You need an Internet connection to set up your device. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to. 
4. Enable or disable Location Services. This setting lets certain apps gather information about your location.
5. Set up your device as new.
6. Agree to terms and conditions.
7. Sign in or create an Apple ID.
If you need to, you can create an Apple ID for free. Or, you can tap Skip This Step to sign in or create an Apple ID later.
8. Upgrade to iCloud Drive.
With iCloud Drive, you can store your files in iCloud and access them anytime on any supported device. Or choose Not Now to setup iCloud later.
9. Set up iMessage and FaceTime. Or choose not now to setup later.
10. Set up Touch ID.
If you have an iPad Air 2 or later, or iPad mini 3 or later, you can set up Touch ID. With Touch ID, you can use your fingerprint to unlock your device and make purchases.
11. Create a passcode.
To protect your data on your device, use a passcode to unlock your device. If you don't need a passcode, tap Don't Add Passcode. If you're using Touch ID you have to create a passcode.
12. Set up iCloud Keychain.
iCloud Keychain keeps your Safari website usernames and passwords, credit card information, and Wi-Fi network information up to date across all of your approved devices.
13. Choose whether or not to use Siri.
Siri lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Or choose Don't use Siri to setup later l.
14. Choose whether or not to share app analytics. Choose don't share.
15. Choose display resolution.
16. Start using your device.

depends on the printer model....
if you have a recent type of printer with Airprint capability it is very easy to setup wireless.
however if you have an old printer with only a USB-cable you'll need another device to get it working:

Try resetting the iPad, by pressing both the home button and the on / off switch, till the iPad switches off. (can take about 10 seconds)
then switch on with the on / off switch. the white apple loge should appear and within one minute it should work again. If the light stays off, contact an Apple store and ask a Genius on the Genius bar.

How to connect an iPad to Wireless or Wi Fi network

It would be the password that you use to connect your pc to your wireless network. If you have not changed it since you got your supplied wireless modem it will be on the bottom of the modem along with your user_ID. Or it will be in the documentation that came from your ISP. Hope this helps.

You'll want to connect with an ethernet cable to your router and open the configuration page (usually 192.168.1.1 or something similar - check your instructions) using your web browser. Check your instructions for default username and password. Once in the router configuration utility, you'll have the opportunity to set your network name (SSID) and select the security you want. WPA is best (more secure than WEP, which is easily hacked). Enter your security passkey/phrase and save your configuration. Go to your wireless computer, search for available networks, find your SSID, click to connect, enter your passphrase and you should be good to go.

p.s. make sure that the router is broadcasting a compatible version that your wireless network adapter can accept: i.e. a computer with a wireless b/g network adapter can not connect to a wireless N network. If this is the problem, go into your router setup and change it to broadcast in b/g/n.
