My dear friend, the problem with your phone is the flex is bad. The flex is the cable that connects the screen to the main board of the phone. First check if there is no damage on the screen, before replacing the flexi ribbon of the phone. Then you replace the flexi ribbon of the phone. If you want to replace it yourself, follow the steps below:
Turn off your phone, Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Four screws
need to be removed,
Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery compartment to release it.
A ribbon connector, needs to be disconnected.
It attaches like a plug and socket so just lever this up to unplug.
Now pull the circuit board to the side (a few clips around its edge
hold the circuit board in place) and you'll see it's attached to the
rest of the phone by another ribbon connector. Again, this
attaches like a plug and socket and can be levered away from the circuit
board.
Remove the six screws you can see and you'll then be able to remove the
slide part.
The flexi ribbon that is behind the screen is what you need to replace, or you can replace the entire screen, but i will advice you replace the flexi ribbon only.
You can get a friend to do that for you once you find out you cannot do this on your own.
u need to change the ribbon, this is what connects the screen to the keypad an mainboard, sometimes f the phone falls or even when u are opening the phone the ribbon can be torn/cut.
Remove the battery from the back, wait 1 minute, then replace the battery. DO NOT HIT ANY BUTTONS. place the phone back on the main base unit so it can reregister.
sir is it blinks with white screen only or blinks with white screen then shut down? -if the phone can receive/send text and mms messages while the incoming and outgoing calls become shut down,i think you need to replace the battery because it is weak.use only original battery. -and if it is blink with white screen only try to reset all settings or reformat your phone,if not work hardware problem go to repair shop.

I called GE support. I was told
1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power
There is a small cable, inside the phone, near the hinge, that can come loose or unplugged. You should have this checked out by someone who can service it. For them it's a simple procedure of reinserting the cable fully.
Solution for Frizzyloo:
The most likely problem is that the connections between the phone and the screen have disconnected or are not connected properly. See if the screen will work if the phone is slid down or half way up etc. Try pushing down on the area around the screen and see if it works then.
Also get it to a repair person if this problem is continual. The problem will not be covered under warranty unless you get it in for under a year and it's worth replacing the connections.
Solution for Zeewon:
Try starting up the phone with out the sim and if it starts fine then your sim needs replacing. Try the same with the memory card. Also check your battery, there should be a sticker around where the contacts are and if it's red then your battery and the back of your phone have been wet. Wipe the back of the inside of the phone then replace the battery.
HOLD THE HANG UP BUTTON AND THE POUND BUTTON DOWN FOR 5 secons. select base unavailable....yes. then hang it up on the base and it will register to the base. if that doesn't work then unplug the base then plug it back in then put the reciever on the base.
