If you take a small scredriver (one that is used to repair eyeglasses) and run it gently around the rim of the back, you will feel a slight indentation where you can insert the screwdriver to open up the back. The battery is easily accesible but then it's tough to get the back back on!

Its probably a screw on back that needs a special tool to open it. but even if you do open it you will not be able to seal it properly

NEED A BATTERY FOR BULOVA CL437597

https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-know-which-battery-I-need-to-fix-my-bulova-watch

I have changed batteries on watches before but none were bulova. I opened the back which you have to do to change battery find what battery you need and order online. I have been able to find at stores year ago but most watches now days people don't change batteries they buy new watches. It is a little harder to find batteries in stores.
When you find the type battery google to get the place to buy it.

How do i change the battery of a Bulova 96L37 watch

1. Take the watch off your wrist and turn the watch so that the back of the watch is facing up.

2. Use a watch case opener or a small flathead screwdriver to remove the back of the watch.

3. Carefully take out the old battery and discard it properly.

4. Insert the new battery, making sure the plus and minus signs line up with the corresponding symbols in the watch.

5. Securely close the back of the watch.

6. Put the watch back on your wrist and you're done.

I have a Bulova Caravelle mens wrist watch case number C877548. I have to replace the battery but I can't figure out how to get the back of the case off. Thanks

Hi. If you take a tiny screwdriver (one that you might use to screw a screw into an eyeglass and run it gently around the back you will feel an indentation where you can insert the tip and pop open the back. The battery is easy to access but trying to get the back back on is the problem! Good Luck.

Watch shops use a press to put backs on. Some will snap on using your thumbs, other need the press to apply more force.
