I have a motorola H721 multipoint head set. its a great head set with noise cancellation.. I work outdoors and need all the help i can get...
I have the iphone 3g and a work phone Nokia..
my problem is that the iphone will not mulitpoint with the bluetooth.
it will pair but when i pair it with any other phone the iphone bucktooth goes into twilight zone... the symbol is there but white not blue... now if I un-pair the other cell and re pair the iphone comes back to life..
Trust me I tried a lot of combo's.. even used my son's 3g to see if mine was defective.....
We made sure that the iphone was completly turned off before i paired it with the other phone
please help me Fixya, your my only hope. (sorry starwars marathon)
I actually have both products, and I was able to get my bluetooth to work with 2 phones. All you have to do is first pair your phone with the H721. Then in the phones functions, turn off the bluetooth so it is no longer in discovery or connected...but do not turn off the bluetooth itself, just in the phones settings. Then go to the bluetooth settings in the iphone. you should see the H721 in discovery but not connected. Before connecting it you must put the H721 into discovery mode as well. Hold all three buttons down for 19 sec. it will go solid blue. then push connect on your iphone. onces connected, go to the original phone and turn the setting back on for bluetooth connection. both are now connected. Only one may apear to be connected, but both are. test it with another phone. call each number and you will see that you can now answer both calls with one device. If the iphone is connected and phone 1 rings...the H721 disconnects temporarily from the iphone and connects to the other device to answer it. Hope this helps. Cause thats how I got mine to work.
Well what you will have to do is when pairing with the BT for the Iphone you will have to take the BT off on the nokia for this to work properly.

We have tried.
pairing the iphone first (with the Nokie off ) then turning off the iphone and pairing the Nokia.
we started it off clean with both phones non paired.

I am talking about multipoint bluetooth headsets... this allows a person to use two ( 2 ) cell phone with one ( 1 ) bluetooth.
example:
you are on your iphone ( personal use ) and your boss calls you on your work cell... all you have to do is say good bye to your friend hang up and like magic you hear your wonderful kind boss on the same bluetooth.......
Unfortunately I cant seem to do this with the iphone.... any other cell phone works just fine....
and YES, Bajanguru your solution works with any bluetooth. the problem is you have to go thru all the steps to turn off the other cell phone off ( or other steps ), by this time your wonderful kind boss is very upset becouse he now is listening to your voice mail.....
But thank you very much for your time and help.....
Iphone edge and motorola V3 razor, exact same problem here. only I'm using a plantronics 5 series
Same issue here. Exactly the same. Has anyone found a way to make this work with the iPhone and a multipoint bluetooth headset?
