LG WM2233H* Clogged drain

I have an LG washer and apparently my drain is clogged.  I'm able to drain the water out using the hose at the bottom but when I finally get all the water out and open the drain pump filter...its empty...but still getting the OE code?

After draining and cleaning filter, reset washer--Unplug unit and hold Start (selector) button for 10 seconds. Plug unit in and restart.

Clogged Drain Hose

There should be a spring clamp of some kind, use a pair of pliers to squeeze the clamp open and slide it off the hose.

LG washer getting an OE error. I have opened the pump and drained the water as well as ckeaned the filter...still not working propperly.

OE means your machine has failed to drain within 10 minutes. There are a few posibilities. Your drain hose could be kinked or clogged causing the machine not to drain. Try using a shop vac to remove the water from the end of the drain hose. If a shop vac won't **** out the water either, you have a clog somewhere ing the drain hose, of the hose from the tub to the pump. If it will drain the water you need a new pump. If there is no water in the machine then the problem is either the pressure switch, the hose going to the pressure switch, of the control board. The pressure switch is on the back by the control board. You will see a black rubber hose going attached to it. Remove it and see if you can blow through it. If you cant it is clogged somewhere. If it is not clogged then the most likely cause is your pressure switch and next the control board.

Good Morning Sir/Ma'am, We own an LG WM2233HW with an "error code of OE" which means "Drain hose is bent or clogged" and/or "The drain filter is clogged". I have checked both. I straightened the drain hose...

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

My LG Front Load washer starts to wash, then when it tries to drain, it stops and shows error code OE. I checked back drain hose and they are not kinked. I removed front filter in bottome left and water...

Hi dear.OE code meaning on Lg washer's"machine unable to drain in 10minutes". You can make a little test. Please remove the filter & pour some water in side drum ,watch for water coming out of filter. If it's slow, tub to pump hose clogged.(there must be some sort of fluff or coin clogging hose)if it's not slow, waters comes out freely, run machine on drain cycle & check the pump motor is it running smoothly? If not change the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.

Washer stops midway incycle and code says OE

HI, check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

3. Drain Filter
Check the drain filter for clogs as well. This filter can become clogged overtime, preventing the free flow to exit the drain tube. It is located inside the unit, mounted on the pump housing.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line

NOTE-If the hoses filter, and pump check out ok, this will confirm that there is a serious within the actual control sector(Timer module or control board). It should be replaced i this case.

Clogged drain in front load LG Washer. Cleaned filter and the drain hose in bottom is not draining any water. Clogged up

hi
To completely clear any clogs in the washing machine drain, use a pipe auger (snake) through the drain hose and look out for any debris/cloth that might be clogging the hose.
Remove the drain hose from the back of the washing machine. This is normally held in place by a clamp or a couple of screws.
look for any clogging from the orifice which opens up for the drain.
if this doesn't solve the problem, you have to open the machine to look for blockage in the drums, which is better handled by a serviceman.

cheers

Clogged drain(?) LG WM2233H*

Check on the back of the unit just below where the 2 water lines come in. This is the location of the tub air vent. If you see evidence that water has trickled out of this vent then you probably had an oversudsing issue.

There is a mushroom valve inside the machine that seals off this vent when the machine is spinning out. Often, if oversudsing has occurred this mushroom valve will get soap residue on the shaft and keep it from shutting all the way. When water leaks out this vent on the back it tends to make its way under the machine and pools up right in front of the drain filter housing.

If this is your case, just make sure you are using an HE (high efficiency) detergent as it is low sudsing. Also make sure to only use 2-3 tablespoons per load.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution or ask additional questions if needed.
