If you have an external webcam, you'll need to follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer of your webcam.
Once you locate the manufacturer's installation information, follow the instructions they provide in their documentation.
Additional notes:

Manufacturer software driver installation instructions can vary. We recommend that you refer to the documentation and installation CD that came with your webcam.
Most webcam manufacturers maintain the latest webcam software drivers on the download or support areas of their website. Just download it and save it to your computer.
Plug in your webcam USB cord only when prompted, this is usually done after rebooting your computer.

How do i get my webcam working its built in the laptop

try testting on MSN, or Live Chat, u need to go on MSN tools and config Audio/Video settings, to enable mic and webcam (check 1st for webcam and sound card drivers is installed)

I have a creative webcam pd 0040,and cannot instal cause I lost the cd .

Check if ur PC sound card works Fine. If it does Then Open Sound Settings In Syatem taskbat and set LINE IN as recording Plug.Increase The recording Volume of LINE IN.Make sure u plug ur Microphine cable of the webcam into LINE IN slot of ur sound card.Then Check...........

Hello. I accidentally install a webcam drive to my pc and they overlap my audio drivers. Now i cant' hear any sound. I can't unistall these drivers and I can't update my audio drivers

better to uninstall first the device driver of your sound card and let your computer detects it again before you install it.

Audio on Webcam is distorted - seems to be recording at a slower speed and palying back at normal spped

as a workaround you can use the headset, you just need to configure your messenger again to use the sound from the mic input instead from the webcam.

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop down and select Camera Microphone or sound card installed in your computer..
Click OK and it should work.
