Sounds like you bought the updated version that over corrects the "too much" ice which jams the mechanism to where it breaks the unit. This is my second friggen Samsung as my 1st 4 door quatro was replaced under their lemon law. Spending $2500 I thought I was buying quaility, instead I bought greif. I'm still working with Best Buy to get Samsung to fix the icemaker with it's current problem which sounds like yours. I have the same exact problem. I have the rf267aars model. I absolutely love the product, except the ice maker. I works when it wants to. I press the reset button, it makes one tray of ice then quits. Samsung will do nothing. I just got off of the phone with them again!! They want me to call service and pay for it all. I only have a household of 2 people. We run out of ice EVERY weekend. I had to buy a portable ice maker. It cranks out 12 cubes every 9 minutes. The Samsung icemaker, when it works, only cranks out 6 every 2 1/2 hours. I have never heard of such crazyness. I will probably purchase another icemaker online and install it myself. If I can find out if this will fix the problem
