I'm trying to troubleshoot for my mother. She says she can be watching the tv and then the input changes to the DVD. She hears the DVD go through it's cycling and she sees the "open", "close", and "No Disc" messages pop up. She knows to use the Proscan remote to switch back to the input she needs to watch tv, but this shouldn't be happening. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

You MUST get HDMI Driver for your Video Card, it is NOT standard. You need to go to PC makers web site and download latest Video Divers for your PC, then you must set up Multiple Desktops, To do that you must first connect the TV, but leave OFF, connect up to PC, reboot, setup Video Card, turn ON TV, TV will have already been detected, On PC, Share the desktop, or Clone, whatever you wish, now reboot after saving settings. Now you set the TV for HDMI already and it should show you a desktop when chosen. You must select and setup TV, FIRST, then connect the PC. From then on, Turn the TV ON, then turn the PC ON, that way it will Always detect the HDMI port.

When I visited today, I changed the batteries in the Proscan remote. I can't think else that could cause this issue.
BTW, we're using the component-1 input for the cable box signal.
So the problem hasn't happened since I changed the batteries in the remote. Looking good.
