The system is working in the 860 Mhz range, so not that common. Most of the time it is cheaper to by a complete new system then to tray to buy components. Just keep looking in the thrift stores you find a transmitter for this headphone for a good price.
I have a set as well but the batteries were weak and it was doing the same thing when they were new. Replaced with good batteries and that was the problem. if you try this and they still don't work then just return it for a replacement
If you twist the earpiece, one of them has two NIMH AAA batteries ,worth checking out if these are gone ,which is what happened to me.I was about to bin my rs130's and just stuck two new rechargeables and the earphones are working again!!!!!
As for $20 dollars from sennheiser for replacements!?!?!? You should pick up two NIMH batteries for a couple of bucks on ebay or amazon.DO NOT USE ORDINARY BATTERIES!!!!!
Hi, What test did you preform to know the right phone is OK? Connections can look solid to the naked eye but not be the case. What are you using to test these phones? Make sure the the plug you are plugging your jack into is functioning properly so you know you will get a proper test of the phones themselves. With the phones on your ears and plugged in and music playing can you wiggle any of the wires or connections and hear any crackling? This will give you a good starting point to address. Good luck.
These systems have some signal detection, so needs an input to fire it all up. That is the same for the greenlight, when initially switched on for my HDR 120.
