F1 error code

Yes this is a recall issue and whirlpool is aware of it, the part that is replaced under F1 Error is the control board and they are the ones who pay for part. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

F1(F68)-Pressure Signal Out-of-Range
I telephoned Whirlpool at 1-800-253-1301. Whirlpool acknowledged the F1 fault and will send a serviceman, free parts and labor, to correct the problem concerning the "famous" F1 fault. This is even for washers out of warranty! This concerns model WTW6600SW2 washers. Be sure to get the authorization code from them so the service person cannot argue about costs.

Error code F1 is caused when the control on your washer is either bad or about to go bad. This is a common issue with Whirlpool Cabrio washers and they are aware of this. I have also seen them replacing the control without any charge, don't really know about the labor charges but they usually won't charge you for the part. here's the part # W10189966. I guess whirlpool had a recall on the units and revised the control boards. might want to call whirlpool on that. Good luck :)

Moister can get in between the contacts,is it in a high moister environment? Try using a hair dryer on the panel to dry it out.Also unplug it to reset.

Well I have the same problem the only way I have found that my washer works is that on the soiler level make sure you put that on the heavy. And that should work I know its a pain but thats what I do and my washer washs with out stopping

Sorry to tell you but you have a faulty control board. It is a bad part from the factory. They know that its bad too! They have completely remanufactured the part. There is lawsuit against whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis) for the problem. Some people have been able to call and complain to whirlpool and got them to pay for the repair. Complain a lot.
