I'm struggling to find a part, google and search engines have been no help. my tv is 32pfl7532d/79 phillips 32"
The t-con board was the problem and i have looked everywhere i can think of to find the part. I am going to a phillips service centre in 2 days but i can see them being expensive, Ive seen t-con boards on ebay from 30 - 50 dollars which is much cheaper than the 300 dollars i got quoted to fix it plus the 60 it cost to find the problem. Any help or ideas on part stores would be greatly appreciated. I dont mind waiting for overseas parcels either so overseas, local, interstate, any store is good, I need this part! Thankyou in advance :)
Re: I'm struggling to find a part, google and search...
Hi the first thing you need to to find the part number for the part that you need. You have to physically open up your TV and get the part number from your part.

Sounds like a bad t-con board. Take back off tv. In the top center
is a cover with two small phillips screws. take these off and fold
cover over. Check and make sure connectors are seated good. If
still no help, you have a bad t-con board. Can get used one on e-bay cheap. Be crefull taking the two ribbon connectors loose. The black stips fold up and gently remove ribbons and replace carefully.
Sony has had bad issues with faulty t-con boards. Hope this helps
The LCD screen replacement is a skilled work. Almost all screens comes attached with its driver board, known as 'T'Con' board. You must have through knowledge in electronics to do this work, as any connections to T'Con board have change, it might damage both T'Con board as well as new panel too.
Sounds like we have the same problem with a similar Television, I'm attempting to fix a Westinghouse LTV-32w4HDC that has a great picture and sound for about 10 min max. then the screen goes almost completely black(you can make out the red colors somewhat) and the sound is just fine. From other posts on the internet I'm trying to replace the T-CON board. I just ordered one from www.tvpartsguy.com for 25.00 +$10 shipping. I'll post back when it comes in and if that solved the problem. My TV only has four boards in it: T-CON, Main, Inverter and Power board. T-CON seems like the most likely canidate from other posterings and it was the cheapest. Next likely canidate will be the Inverter board I guess. If you have a phillips screw driver and ahve ever taken apart a desktop computer this T.V. shouldn't be a problem ( if you feel uncomfortable, take lots of pictures first so you know how it all goes back together).
I don't yet have a solution for this problem, As I to have the Sharp model LC 32SH12U 32 inch LCD Tv. From what I have seen and read in searching for a relatively cheaper fix than just tossing out this $600.00 Tv,I have heard T-CON Board MANY MANY times now up until today I had a guy tell me that he was pretty certain that it is the SCREEN PANEL!!! I wouldn't think that if the screen was bad it's self it would show ANY colors or tints, Lines or what have you..I just think the T-CON Board is gone bad in this Tv As it has perfect sound, And like most everyone elses for a while after my TV warmed up it would play like a champ and had a BEAUTIFUL PICTURE until now I think the T-CON Board has gone completely out on it. Sharp must have undoubtably purchased ton's of BAD T-CON Boards that fit not only this TV but also the AOC,DYNEX,INSIGNIA,And Vizio Brand's of LCD TV's...The VERY Same T-CON board which is Part Number X3562TP ,Is futted in every one of these same brands of TV's And I feel they have gone bad in Thousands of LCD TV's and it has Obviously caused thousands of people some very bad issues with their entertainment products..my wife and I are TV Folk and that is what we do...WE watch TV,,And now that our Main TV is broken and we can't really afford to just go out and Buy a new one I have to try and repair this one,And as Cheaply as I can, So I may be about to waste $40.00 on a T-CON Board, But hey I gotta KNOW..If this don't fix it, Im just gonna part the TV out on EBAY and go for another brand of TV..I thought SHARP was a really good brand of TV, But from what I have learned..our money would have been better spent on a different brand of TV!!! If this DOES repair our Tv I will be certain to come back and let everyone know!!
