Channel lockout on Regency D300 scanner

How do you lock out--skip-- temporarily an unwanted channel on the old D300? I can program it but can't lock out temporarily an annoying channel.

While in SCAN mode, enter the number of the channel you want to lockout. To re-activate it, enter the channel number again.

There "should" be a lockout button on the control panel and that is for locking out channels. I'm not sure of that particular scanner, cause it's been about 10 years since I've seen one up close. One old scanner I had, I would have to punch in the channel # for it to lock out the channel. Hope this helps you somehow,,, Mechanic

How do you program a Regency Programmable Scanner R1070?

Regency R1070 Frequencies for people with no manual
These are the ranges it supports.

30-50 Mhz
144-174 Mhz
440-512 Mhz

To make it scan, first set the range by pressing Manual and then Search. It will ask for the LOwer end and the UPper end of the range. Enter them, press Scan and then Search, and it will start scanning. When it locks and you want to keep going, hit Search again. You can press Delay to stop at a channel temporarily. To save a frequency in memory, hit Manual and pick a number, then type it out and hit Enter. When you have a few channels saved and you want to check up on each of them, Scan scans through memory. The Lock button is to skip a particular channel while scanning.

That's pretty much the whole manual right there.

How to lock out a channel

For a temporary lockout, manually select the channel and then press the Func and L/O keys. Use the same procedure to release the lockout.

For a permanent fix, select the channel and then program 0.0 (zero point zero) into it. Doing this will create a blank channel that the scanner will automatically skip during scanning.

Bearcat scanner lockout on and i want it off

You didn't provide a model number, so this response is a little generic and applies mainly to late model Bearcats. To release an individual programmed channel from lockout, stop the scanner on that channel (select and press MANUAL) then press the Lockout (L/O) key. Any unprogrammed channel, displaying 000.0000, will show as locked out. Programming a frequency into it automatically releases the lockout. If all channels are showing as locked out you may need to reset the scanner. The reset procedure varies my model, so I'll need the model number to describe the steps.

I just aquired a Regency R 4010 portable scanner and am looking for the frequency range and programing instructions.

Turn scanner on.
Make sure Key Pad is set to ON.
Press the manual button until the Channel display shows the channel you want to program (i.e. 1 thr 10)
On the key pad enter the freqency and hit the E key when done.
Hit the Manual key to select the next Channel you want to program.
Repeat process.
When finished hit the scan button.
If you want to see what freqency is programmed for a channel hit the Manual button until you reach the desired channel then hit the Review button.
If you want to lockout a channel (i.e. a channel that continuously broadcasts like the National Weather Service, hit the Manual button until you reach the desired channel then hit the L/O button. Hitting it again will unlock the channel.

How to program regency model 1070 scanner? I program scanner, yet unsure why no ''frequencies'' stop.Only zero flashes>

I couldn't locate a manual for you, but this vintage 10-channel unit is fairly simple to operate.

Start by turning the unit on with the POWER button.
Push the MANUAL button.
Push MANUAL until you see the Channel you want to enter the frequency in -i.e: Ch 1, Ch 2, etc.
Enter the frequency with all the digits needed - i.e: 44.94 / 44.98 / 154.965 / 155.610 etc
Push the ENTER button. The frequency will now be in the Channel "Ch" you chose.

While still in the manual mode - go the the channel you expect to listen to most - then push "DELAY/HOLD". This will hold the scan so you will get the reply from the dispatch unit to the receiving unit. You can set this feature on any or all of the ten channels.

Push the "LOCK" button to lock out channels you no longer want to listen to, or that you want to ignore temporarily.

How do clear the scanner to re program it

Programming a frequency into a channel clears the previous channel entry, so there's really no need to "clear" the scanner for reprogramming. To eliminate an unwanted frequency, you can either press the LOCKOUT key to prevent the scanner from stopping on a specific channel, or you can "zero" a channel:

1. Press SCAN/MAN to stop
scanning.
2. Use the number keys to enter
the channel number (1-200)
you want to clear.
3. Press PGM. F=C appears.
4. Press 0 then ENT. The
frequency number changes to
000.0000 to indicate the
channel is cleared.

How do you clear all channels so i can put the channels that i want in it

There is no need to clear the scanner before reprogramming. When you enter a new frequency it will automatically overwrite the old frequency. To clear unwanted frequencies you can program "0.0" into any channel to clear it, or simply use the LOCKOUT feature to prevent the scanner from stopping on a channel.
