yep ! have same problem with TH 42 PV60A but on right side of screen. it has 1 white bar running vertical from center of screen for a width of aprox 200mm and the remainder on the right side is black with a very fine line to the right of the black showing colour. other than that the left side from center outward of screen and audio operates well.has problem with all feeds. only 14 months old ,not sure what to do .any ideas .

thought it may have been related to reverse aircon in room area which was left on heating occasionaly and reached high temp in room, but did worked fine for some time after.

When only a half screen is produced, it is usually a upper or lower buffer board, if the top half is blank then it is the upper buffer, and of course if it's the bottom half then it's the bottom buffer board

Tablet screen turns off when hdmi hooked up

If running Windows 7:
Right click on the desktop
Screen Resolution
Right click on the screen that is not activated
Choose activate.

Keep in mind that if you want to see the same display on both screen ie dual display then it will set the resolution to the screen with the smallest resolution, which may look a little sucky if you are running 1080p TV with lower resolution laptop screen, the other option is to choose extend screen

Ive connected my vga to vga cable from my desktop pc to the rgb pc input on my lcd tv but it shows no picture. it shows windows loading but wont show my password entry or desktop page

Because your laptop needs it's display setting changing so your second monitor is active.
While on your desktop, right click once and a box will appear, choose "properties" at the bottom.
There you will see another box, choose the "settings" tab at the top right and this will show your display options.
Right click on the number two box and "attach" it.
You may also have to change the size of the display to fit your tv.
Hope this helps

Everything works except no picture of tv

The Television may be out of synchronization with your remote or may be configured incorrectly.

1. In front of your Television, press the Help button on your Harmony Remote.
2. Answer No when asked "Did that fix the problem?"
3. The Harmony will then ask, one by one, if all of your required devices powered on when the Activity was started. Answer Yes or No until all required devices are powered on.
4. Answer No if the remote asks if the TV is set to the correct input needed for the Activity. In this example Input 4 is used, though this may vary from your setup. If the TV switches to another input but no picture is seen, continue answering No until an image appears.
5. If you now have a picture on your TV screen, answer Yes when asked if the problem is now fixed. Your television was simply out of synchronization with your Harmony One and should now work correctly. Please try switching between your other Activities to see if they switch correctly. If this has not fixed the problem, proceed to the next section Confirming your Activity Settings.

To confirm your Activity Settings, please follow the steps below:

1. Launch the Logitech Harmony Remote software and login to your account.
2. Click on the Activities tab on your home page
3. Click on the Settings button for the Activity you wish to troubleshoot.
4. Select Review the settings for this Activity and click on the Next button.
5. Confirm the input chosen for your television is correct. Select No, I want to run the setup wizard again to change these settings and click on the Next button.
6. Click on the Next button through the Activity setup screens until you arrive at the screen asking the question "What input or channel does your ... TV need to be on? From the list, select the input that the TV uses for this Activity. Once finished, click on the Next button.

**NOTE: It is recommended to perform these steps for all Activities that use the television.

8. Click on the Done button on the Set Up Activities: Summary page.
9. Click on the Done button on the "Select the Activity settings you would like to modify" screen.
10. When you have finished, click Done to save your changes.
11. Click on the Update Remote button to update your remote.

Activating HD mode

You do not activate or set the TV resolution at the TV, the signal feeding the TV has to be hi-def for the TV to show HI-DEF. TV will show what is being fed with, lo-def in = lo-def display.

PIP (Picture-in-Picture)
Picture-in-Picture is a feature which allows you to watch two different signal inputs simultaneously, when

Press the button to activate the PIP feature, which will bring up a display showing Style.
Press either the or button to select it to be either PIP, POP or OFF.
Press either the MENU key to return to the previous menu display or the EXIT key to return to your

this manual; for different combinations), Size (The size of the little box to watch the second signal) and
Position (Where you want to place the little box with the second signal).
If POP (Regularly called Picture-by-Picture) is selected, you will only have the option to select the Input
as the screen will display the two different signals side by side; each one occupying half of the screen.
Using the AUDIO key allows you to select which audio

No signal!

Hi Rabia,

It seems as if the Picture-in-Picture feature of your television is activated. Please take a look at the remote control and find the PIP button and press it, this should bring the picture into full-screen and allow you to hear the audio.

Tv want show

Look at the back of your TV.  Make sure your cable is hooked up to connector on far right, NOT the far left. (For analog cable TV.)

Push "source" button on remote or side of TV to cycle through TV inputs.  Wait one second between pushes.  You want to stop just before the source that displays "AV" on TV screen.  It should show a number, for the current channel number.

If you are using an analog cable box, try setting the TV channel to 3 or 4.  If you use no cable box, try changing channels on TV to find an active one.  If no luck, make sure your cable service is active (subscription active).  Cable companies disconnect it between residents of an apartment/house.
