I removed front panel to see pump. When machine is filling with water, in rinse cycle, water flows through pump, like pump wasn't even there. Then when spin cycle starts, pump propeller does not spin, though force of spin cycle makes water flow through pump, like pump is just an open tube. No blockages found anywhere. Bench tested pump, seems to work okay. Not energized, no water flows. Energized, it spins and ejects water. Even if electrical not getting to installed pump, why does water flow through it when it is not even spinning? Washer is only a couple years old, wiring looks good, haven't tried tracing electrical flow or components.

Hi Erin just read your post,I have worked on these machines alot. Now I need you to manually drain the machine of all the water. Once drained i want you to select drain and spin cycle. Now push the start button,do you hear the pump working? If you do stop the machine and select normal cycle on small water level and push the start button. The machine will then fill.Once it stops filling stop the machine and select drain an spin cycle.Does the machine pump out? Now if you do not hear the pump, could be the pump is faulty or jammed.Does the water flow very fast when you lower it to the floor? Please reply with answers to these questions and I will try my best to help you.
My Samsung washer was not filling with water after cleaning the debris filter. All I did to fix it was to dump a half gallon of water into the tumbler, then I ran the beginning of the rinse cycle and it worked. It seems like the pump needed to be primed.
TAKE THE HOSE OFF ON THE BACK {DISCHARGE HOSE} IF THE WATER FLOWS OUT IT IS THE PUMP MOTOR IF IT DOESN'T THERE IS SOMETHING BLOCKING THE OUTLET, SMALL CLOTHING ITEM
I had the same problem with my unit. The manual tells you to disconnect the water intake at the machine and clean the screen. This wasn't my problem because as you said the problem doesn't occur until the Rinse cycle which means there is water supply to start the Wash cycle. From the back of the unit, remove the three screws and take of the lid. You'll notice that there are three separate motors do pump water inside the machine at the water intake. When standing in front of the machine, the motor on the right controls the rinse cycle.I connected an AC volt meter to that pump and started the rinse cycle.240v showed up at the pump, but the water flow was poor.I simply squished up and down the rubber hose connecting this motor to the detergent unit and was unable to free the clog and water began to flow.
